DIY with Quantum Boards

Does anyone think that keeping my room's ambient temperature at about 74F could be okay for cooling a tent with 4 QBs?
(using proper ventilation for the tent, of course)

That is something that I don't understand
There are no margins for them to profit from selling power supplies. Huge capital investment, however they could increase margins by purchasing bulk in the 1000's but then they have to have the space and sales volume to justify the purchase. They leave those profits to the warehouses that specialize in that kinda stuff.

Makes sense I guess... Another question, how much of a difference between v1 & v2 qb boards?

Exactly. They would have to stock literally dozens of different models - far easier for them to just select and buy a few models that go with their kits, and if the end user wants to run something different they can get whatever they want from various suppliers out there.

Monday update -

3x3 tent ( Mylar sheeting )
4 QB 304 panels ( 3500k ) - dimmed to about 50w per board
NOTE : these are S5 bin QB - original boards
2 COB citizen ( (3500k ) - 60ish watts running dimmed
ADDED G8 630 - 660nm LED light deep red

18/6 cycle
8" exhaust ( pull )
4" passive intake
Oscillating fan

Temps : average 84° to 86° depending on load of light running.

Strains :
2 ) Black Afghani X Blueberry auto testers
1 ) Mephisto TOOF X HSO Blue Dream - My auto cross ....... *Fingers crossed

The QBs are easy 2 years old and was one of the first guys playing with these great lights. Almost jumped on the 315 CMH bandwagon but decided to go get these. These are running just as good as new , no burnout, no degrade , no electrical issues. Some will bag on the G8 but they were one of the few makers ( at the time ) to even offer an ALL RED BLOOM LIGHT. I decided to run this lamp ALL THE WAY FROM SEED TO HARVEST as a way to see if it adds anything to the growth ( veg ) .... And the girls love it .
It throws in another 100watts into the mix and like this light . I do plan to build something with strip ( red Emerson style ) boards / pucks in next build ( switchable on / off ) for either all on or for bloom ( supplement boost ) . Definitely looking at the latest HLG or SolStrips.

Anyways... Girls are looking good . I am running Dr.Earth organic Veg / garden mix this time around instead of that peat mix I had on hand. This is a more tempered / highly amended soil that doesn't burn seedlings and gets plants looking good better than say FFOF ( which has burnt my shit before. ) There is some good shit in this mix .

The Black Afghanis are showing some slight variations between them ( node spaces ) but again they are testers. My cross is the one in the rear left and is looking pretty good.

Feeding will begin once she sexes out. The mix is doing well by itself and 6.5 ph water , with a few sprays of Optic Foliar Overdrive once a week.

Happy 4th of July

Next up in wings ...... Blood Dragon

The next set for quantum love ..... These will go to the Mylar room after I choppy chop a couple of gallon grows ( candy dream ) going into week 5 today .... So growing these now will still be in mid veg by the time the candy gets chopped. Hence the rotation of grows.

Started to do a soak / Hydrate of 3 seeds , for about 8 hours , then into a solo yo get the party started.

MEDIUM : Dr. Earth Organic Veg mix AND a 1/4 tsp. of Light Warrior ( Myco and perlite starter mix. )

I usually fill solo with medium ( 1/2 ) then in goes the light warrior , then medium top.
I have a water bottle with water that I mist / dampen each layer . In goes the seed .

It has been warm enough NOT to need the warming pad this time. I place the cups in a drip tray.
CFL ( 5500k ) over them is enough to get them going.

These are testers from a buddy and am looking forward to what grows out
( see I told you I was gonna run them .... Wink wink 8) )

Hope you got the good ones! My latest round the germ rate sucked. These may be older than I thought. But I'm cheering for them lol! The Dragon's Blood have always had stellar germ rates. I started with F2 seeds that were at least 5 years old and not well stored. 10 of 12 sprouted!

Good luck!

Shit, that's good then right? Would be great for me, but my expectations aren't as high...
