also running them softer on that big board will be the double whammy of lower current and lower temp increasing efficacy as well. depending on how hard your lights are being run, these can come up on 40-50% more efficient if run soft

...and, lenses. All well dressed LED fixtures will use them in the future.

On the topic of the boards though, I am curious to see how the test grows turn out. I cant really see these boards "failing" so as long as they produce even on par with COBs, they should have no problem finding a nice niche, as they certainly have applications that they are suited better for than your standard COB.

I cannot wait to get these in my tent! I'm retiring my trusty CXA's for these and those are my babies.
When I started my Mini grow Robin told me he had something similar he was working on but I kind of dismissed it because I wasn't really a believer in these style boards but that soon changed when I hit my highest gpw.
With the ability to diy with them and fully customize to your space, which was my main appeal with COBS, I think they will be a game changer for sure.

ETA on the heat sinks for the Quantum's ? I got both boards and the driver came in today. Question on connectors for wiring, can I use bullet connectors that are soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing ? Something like this ?

Not sure about voltage or current rating for those bullet connectors
Don't use if the connector has exposed contacts in mated condition.
