yeah buddy! i'm running that jack's tap until stretch is over and then FNB. it's been awhile since i've run it so i curious to see how it works (again).
Nice! I’m a couple weeks out from filling it up again but I made a lot of changes. I have a bunch of f strips I was going to do side lighting but it will just delay me so I’m moving forward with a new DE bulb haha. Will play with some led this winter/spring maybe.

i put that diamond foil in my room prior to this grow and my temps are almost out of control. thankfully the nights are gettin colder here but it was tough going in most of september.

so the ushio is a DE? what wattage?

I was checking out the orcha film, went with panda film to replace that reflective funhouse mirror shit i had up. Yeah it’s there newer hps full spectrum. They give specs up to 1150 watts, I will run it at 1100. I have a 600w SE fixture up there too with it, was running a MH with the DE hps last run.

It’s the pro plus on that spec sheet, the 1150 watt is a different bulb, my bad, looking for the one I found with specs at 1100. Maybe I was high and it was Phillips.

not sure if its still true or not, but it was the only nute that was ever patented
That’s interesting, will have to do some searching. I’m kinda in the air on this sag garden friendly, last time i loosely ran UC, really nothing, more time not. Availability has me butt hurt. I know you have run sterile before as well, is there a benefit between the 2? It’s the last piece of my puzzle before I crack beans again. I can get pool shock, recharge, I’m guessing sag has label issues keeping it from retail up here. I also vaguely remember 2-5ml of this FNB per gallon or was it 10 gallons. Bottles a crazy amount of 9.5 per gallon in bloom. I will have to go back and look again closer to go time.

I think that this is some marketing BS.
Very hard to patent something like a nutrient mix.
Besides, if you do patent it, someone just adds 1 mg of another element... and it is an all new mix.

Says right on the website it’s a patented formula. Not that it matters, you know of something comparable, if it’s bs? Someone must of copied it and added that 1mg somewhere.. What nutes would you recommend for Lucas formula?

I am not familiar with the Lucas Formula. (I know what it is. But never done it myself)
But as I understand the Lucas Formula can only be achieved with GH 3 part.
Or buy Florabloom. It is the same but in 1 bottle.

I also don't say that GH has bad nutrients or that the Lucas Formula is BS.
Only the statement 'patent' looks like BS to me. They did not invent something totally new, or a mix that is so special that it can be patented. And even if it can... if someone changes just a tiny bit... it is an all new recipe.

not really a benefit/detriment to either. both work very well. i'd say the only negative to shock is you will need an accurate scale which is an added expense. mine was like $35

that's exactly what a patent is for. you can look it up on the US patent website if you'd like.
OK, maybe I wrote it not correct.
You are right: You can patent a formula.
But what's the use?
If someone changes the percentages just slightly, then the whole patent makes no sense. A lot of money spend for nothing.
Only an exact copy is not allowed.
You can not patent the concept of plantfood, or mixing N, P, K, Fe, Ca, etc.

if you just change things slightly, that could be argued in court as a copyright infringement. if i patented a bike rim and you change the color from black to red, i'd sue the crap out of you and win.

i'm running @ 30mL per 10 gal which comes out to about 0.8 EC total. well is 0.2
Sounds good, I will start low and see where I end up.

Alright, I will have to think about it, I think I have a .00 scale, will have to check.

Appreciate the info, thank you.

that's what you need. for my res, i was measuring out 0.3 grams for 10 gallons. it was about 3 shakes of a salt shaker. so accuracy is important
I ran the UC roots on the light side, I’m not sure if it was a waste doing so, water temps were always 64 so I never really had any issues to start with. If I do the pool shock, I think I kept most the info I came across, a lot was from discussions in posts from you as well. I will prob start the bennies or shock afterwards too.

i ran at 3ppm. kinda middle of the road. anywhere from 1 to 5ppm is fine especially if you are just using it as a preventative.
