Discontinued nutrients, Lucas guys..

I’m told maxibloom is discontinued, would explain why I can’t find it online in anything but 16lb buckets. I’m in Canada, what replaces it? I was going to run Lucas again but with maxibloom. If not that, I need some recommendations, jacks? I touched base on nutes here and there over the months but with my current run finishing up, I’m trying to get stuff in order. I might just use GH m/b again if I can’t find maxibloom in a normal size. Anyone have some bulletproof salts they can recommend.

I've been running Jacks 3-2-1 for a couple of seasons with really good results.
Simple and economical.
I might be leaning towards jacks, my goto hydro shop recommended CX Horticulture for nutes and hydroponic research for powders. I would do jacks over those. Thanks for the reply GBAUTO.

It's not discontinued in my country, I just bought some from eBay...it's also available on Amazon.ca

EDIT: Actually scrap that, just realised that's a stupid price.

Try Mega Crop.
Yeah I’m not buying out of country right now, my luck ISC Chicago would hold it till I’m half way threw my grow lol. Looks like we are going off reserves now.

Are you running it with cal nit? Just looking at what @AquaTerra has in his store. I’m guessing this is the one I’m after, jacks would be new to me so I will have to go back and read what all I need with it start to finish.

Liquids measured per ML.

Powders are in grams. (Weighed on scale)
Gotcha, so about 225 grams for 75 gallons @ 3. I could prob get threw a grow with a 5kg bag. I only did 3 complete res changes in 4.5 months on this run. Was testing the no change with Lucas but it gets all crazy, or it did for me. I upped my water game for next round so I will prob keep fresher water going more often. I run UC as well but really don’t think I need anything, as my waters 64-66f, chilled. I added it for bloom, wanted to clean my root zone.

Also, I’m assuming these are both start to finish, am I able to add something like big bud later on for the L aminos? I’m not sure if it makes a difference, I used it this round and have used other things in the past. I’m pretty happy with the switch to hydro, results have been pretty good, think I could do better on the second run, need to test some other nutes out though.

What's in big bud?

I have learned to keep it simple. Burned my chit up in the past with koolbloom, MKP, etc.

I have also stopped going rogue with kra kra ideas of my own.

Big Bud is 0-15-35 with 10%S, 20 amino acids, citric and ascorbic acids too. I've been using it since it was invented and hate flowering without it. A half dose a week before the flip with all 3 base nutes gets the buds popping fast. The other half at the flip.

BigBuds01.jpg

The Dr. Hornby, (first version), was 0-10-40 with 7%S, fewer aminos, citric acid but no ascorbic, (Vit. C).

An intermediate version was 1-17-38 with 10%s and no other goodies listed on the jar.

I bought my last 500g can about 4 years ago now and still have about 1/3 left. so it could have changed again. They also sell an 'organically derived' version of it now too and some like that in nutes. Iguana Juice I think but it's been ages since I looked that stuff up.

:peace:
