Club Bubblegum

cool club. I'm in :D

grew Bubblegum (Serious) during my first grow, and am considering it again (along with Red Diesel and another undecided strain). The high is awesome, kind of a happy-cloudy vibe, but not as giggly as I thought. Wasn't a couch-lock stone but it wasn't a sativa high either.

Unfortunately I can't comment on taste as I used chemical nutes and didn't flush enough. All in all it was still a great smoke.

It was a slow grower in veg (only did 3 weeks from clone) but growth exploded when I switched to 12/12. Not a very needy plant in terms of nutes.

here's a pre-harvest pic. You can tell it had too many nitrates. Oh well, live and learn.

Still looks good though ;) I swtched from BioBizz organics to a special nutrient mix from a plant school nearby + their soil w time released ferts, no nutes added first 5-6 weeks making it a helluva lot "easier" and A LOT cheaper :blsmoke:
The high IS awesome if harvested at the "right" time, in my opinion that is when trichs are all cloudy, you get just what u described, uppy and stoney highs at the same time, very relaxing...mine grows good in veg but doesn't stretch much at all in flower, seems to put all energy to the buds, see the pics how thin the branches really are.

Nice looking buds, everyone.
ahahaha right on Pang, I knew these kinda threads would catch on.
Can't wait to see some more diff strains in these threads.
Thx bro! Yeah it's kinda good, people growing a strain for their first time can check in here and get info on Bubblegum from dif. seed banks :bigjoint:

hi - just wondering if nirvana bubbliscious counts as bubble gum?

i've got 4 seedlings going about 2 weeks old. never grown this before. the beans were gifted to me.

i'm growing in modified fox farm ocean forest soil. (i added the usual perlite and guano and worm castings.) i hope i'm organic as can be. i use age old organic kelp and fish + FF big bloom. i don't use the other FF big grow and tiger bloom stuff.

i have a number of lights but right now they are under a 250w MH. i'll switch to my 400w blockbuster reflector soon.

i grow in a XL homebox tent with a 6" inline fan which works just great.

hope bubblicsious is OK for this thread - if not let me know!

:hump:
Hehe fer sure you're welcome! Mine are from Nirvana as well. One thing I have noticed is how one pheno self seeded etremely late in 12/12 but after cloning it that dissapeared.

Sounds like you're off for a good start w that 250W MH, I really don't know anything bout FF stuff, not sold over here, but I've seen super results using FF products :bigjoint:

Thanks all for your input!

edit: when I say "self seeded" I mean that last spurt some plants do last 3-5 days before it's ripe, as some kinda survival mechanism, not really seeds...

Bubble Gum is the bomb!! Love it. I just can't think of smoking anything else. These pictures are from last years crop. Miracle-Gro soil, Miracle-Gro for veggie growth and than Miracle-Gro bloom for budding. Outside.

i still have 4 nirvana bubbliscious going on. they look good. all seem fairly consistent in size and shape. i'm excited to see how they turn out. just transplanted them from 1 gallon bags to 3 gallon pots today. i wanted some fresh ocean forest today from the local nursery and noticed they were carrying roots soil now too so bought them both and mixed them together. i think the plants are 5 weeks old from popping out of the soil now.

T_T It started to mold when growing or when cut?

Nice looking there! My bubblelicious is also from Nirvana and what I've noticed is that when grown to flower from seed, they tend to "self seed" late in flowering, but when cloned that trait seems to have dissapeared...

hi pang, just curious - does self seed mean the same thing as hermie? if a male stamen(?) develops i assume you clip it off before it matures and pollinates your plants? are these easy to identify?

thanks.

For it to hermie I guess you'd need male flowers, but what I mean is that last "spurt" some plants do in their last 2 weeks and as a "survival mechanism" they self seed. That trait is completely gone on the clones!

Nice plants everyone!

I just ordered some Nirvana bubblicious seeds, very excited to start growing this strain.

I have a question for you guys.

What changes the leaf to bud ratio between some of these plants or any plants for that matter?

Looking at everyones bubblegum plants you can see there is a difference. Not sure if its genetics or nutes or what?

Thanks guys, keep it growin.

i have 3 nirvana bubbles growing right now. My guess is leaf to bud ratio is genetic and every strain will have certain phenotypes that express different characteristics.

oh...plus, of course, if you top, FIM, trim, supercrop, bend, you will change the amount of bud sites on your plant.

hi top, keep us posted. i'm wondering if other people find bubbles to be sensitive to nutes? my big bubble has what seems to be a bit of nute burn where my other plants don't. on the other hand i'm really impressed with the bubbles, very nice looking plants with nice big buds. here's some close up pics i took a few minutes ago of the bubbles.

The ocean forest is like penicillin on an infection. After about two days the yellowing burn is green as can be. Now if my t5 can work the same magic on these as they did on last years la woman ( had a 15g cola) I'll be sprouting wood.

i like the ocean forest. i've tried happy frog, OF is better. i mixed in ROOTS this time around and i don't like it. all that coco fiber throws me off about watering. i'm used to the OF and it seems to stay uniformly moist vertically through the container. seems to me that the ROOTS stuff seems to concentrate water at the bottom. as always, my hypothesis' could be way off!
