Trump and the fascism you are experiencing right now, individuals are responsible for their actions, not the media they subject themselves to voluntarily. Though for profit promotion of social division and mass murder (covid) needs to be suppressed. There were and still are laws that require mass media to be a public service and it was and is quickly stomped on if it becomes a source of social division. Some people think the Nazi's should have their own TV network and in a way, they have several in America, under the protection of the first amendment. Most of think Jesus hand delivered the constitution though and that subsequent generations are incapable of critical thought. They don't know what the word amendment means, to mend that which was mistaken, omitted or just plain wrong.
And what about the paid foreign militarized trolls that pretend to be otherwise that are used to attack our citizens sowing divisiveness to divide us up?

What about the foreign nation who is using their military to attack our citizens?

You know my thoughts on that, but they hold up a mirror and reflect America's and Canada's problems back at us while distorting and amplifying it. Social media and the internet make this possible and the disinformation on the domestic for profit propaganda machine is identical in content and purpose to the Russian efforts. The Russians do it to weaken us and the domestic ones do it for profit, they are taking advantage of the fact that people want this trash. People want pornography too, but you don't see it splashed on morning TV along with the kids cartoons.

Every army needs it's specialists and you are in a fight for freedom, so please do specialize we need the awareness and people to pay attention. Joe apprehends the danger and his people more so, you will no longer be defenseless in this area as the recent cyber attacks have illustrated. Win the senate and you can do more to protect yourself from all enemies foreign and domestic, don't overlook the domestic though. People have to be told if they support this shit in any way they are betraying you, your family and the country. All politics is local as they say hanimmal, but I'll go further and say this kind of thing is not politics, it is personal. I call it cold civil war, but it will be fought by political means, hearts, minds and ballots.

This is part of a larger conversation going on now and not just in America, social and technological conditions have changed the landscape and some people are not adapting to the rapid pace of change in all areas of life.

I am not sure I do know your thoughts on it.

Because I think back to these posts:

And it makes it difficult for me to read some of the ways you attack people and not think that you are doing it to turn people away from one another.

Hanimmal sometimes I get pissed like most here, but I have been consistent in my views and they have also evolved as new information is acquired and processed. People are responsible for their own actions is the first principal, but not their childhood educations and conditioning, to a point. People have a moral, social and even patriotic duty to rise above their conditioning if they can and those who lack the emotional and intellectual resources fail to do so. People start form different places though and if you are white and from the south you've got a further climb than someone who's head isn't filled with bullshit.

Disinformation reinforces biases and are selected for this purpose, cut it off where you can and enough will migrate to legitimate media (video and audio where most get their info). This does not just mean suppressing hate radio, newsmax, OAN and regulating cable and media companies, it means regulated free basic cable rolled out to rural areas along with high speed internet and part of Joe's infrastructure plan. Since TV went digital and reception is shit, most poor people are getting their news online.

Joe and no democratic politician should call any voter an idiot, that's your job, where the rubber meets the road. Facts don't work, perhaps a skillful conversation can be had after they ask you why you treat them like dirt, then you can answer, using skillful means and kindness. Go for their motives, intentions and morals, if you know they have them, most do, they are not really evil people, few are, but they are dangerous and misguided. Intentions are everything, they motivate actions and votes are actions.

I agree.

People's actions are their own responsibility, like pushing a drug that Dear leader wanted pushed, sometimes it is important that when they are acting out towards others it is a good time to remind them of it so hopefully they realize that it might just be another person on the other end of the conversation (and not just another in the long line of trolls trying to divide us up while pushing propaganda) and that they might shut down if they are not given the chance to not be a troll.

The rudeness is a learned response and we should all try to find different ways around having to point out others bullshit.

Skillful means sometimes means being nasty to gain their attention, but you have to get on the "inside" with them emotionally to change them and appeal to their morals. People filter facts and logic is most often a guise for rationalization. Hearts and minds, hearts first, get in there and then you can use the facts, but in a skillful way while giving them time and space to process things.

Everybody is driven by subconscious forces, mostly conditioning and every sense object and thought has a feeling "tone" associated with it (approach avoidance), it is this emotional root that drives our minds forward into the future. Deep down you work like your dog at a basic level, all mammals do, this thinking ability and a strong episodic memory are recent developments but they have ancient roots.

I'm not a politician, I'm where the rubber meets the road, but there are not many persuadable Trumpers here, so they feel the ridicule from not just me. You don't see them coddled on regular media much either, they are called liars and most hosts refuse to have people lie and spread disinformation on their shows and platforms now.

These methods of persuasion work with friends and families, those with whom it is difficult to practice avoidance with for them or you. The kinds of political conversations that logic wins are policy based and use a common set of facts, that's normal politics. These people are not basing their politics on any of that stuff, they are emotion driven and the base emotions are fear and hate (aversion), reason does not come into the picture.

Pointless meme, you have nothing to say and no ideas, keep watching the Russians, others will watch your back.
You sound like the adults from Charlie Brown.

You have a lot of words to say not too much, and usually nothing about what was said. Your inability to self reflect and be an actual person is why you got that last two memes.

Is that better?

Rinse repeat and rinse again, there is little point in getting into the weeds until you settle motives and intentions. I can cut and paste facts with the best of them and often do. My focus is on the motives and intentions that underlie actions, votes are actions and for 74 million people facts played no part at all.

Yeah they were busy getting sold Hydroxichlorwhatever from Trump's trolls (foreign and domestic).

It is difficult to know what someone's real motives and intentions are online.

I guess if I didn't see crimes against humanity on TV everyday I wouldn't be so concerned, but large scale suffering gets to me more than politics.

There is a Canadian guy named Alexander who is involved with the CDC whom I'm gonna be emailing my party and government about, he was a key part of the herd immunity plan and I figure was part of a crime against humanity from what I've seen in the media. If he should ever come back to Canada or be extradited, I wanna see the fuck in the Hague, so do others here. Perhaps the RCMP might be the place to start with such a criminal complaint.

I followed the science, the same science that finally says remdisivir is just as useless as HCQ, the same science the majority of desperate doctors hoped worked at one time, not many do now. The same science that says vaccines work and there are ethical problems in continuing with the placebo group. By the time proper trials were organized with covid NPI's reduced cases and screwed up studies in most places including NYC this spring, America doesn't have that problem now though.

That was the same thread where I posted DIY mask instructions in the spring when no one wanted to use them because of a shortage. It was the only thread here whose intention was to help and foster helping each other and the intention was right at the top of the thread, Public Health. When the thread started there was little covid information in the media, much less disinformation. Intentions are everything.

I agree. I really wish all that propaganda pushed on our society hadn't been.

But unfortunately when you have trolls pushing Dear Leader's miracle cures and obscure videos into relevance, confusing people to the point that they end up listening to their 'friends' on whatever chat that they frequent who tells them that it is just another cold, masks don't work, it is hard.

Especially when they are further radicalized with the relentless attacks from the same troll working their sock puppet accounts when they question something that they heard shutting them off form other information sources.

By 'followed' do you mean hocking them spreading their branding that Trump was pushing?

That's just bullshit, when Trump became involved there was only one study by that French guy, nobody knew the truth about HCQ until later, the studies were not good and there were a dozen all over the map. It is when Trump started touting it the irrationality began, from those opposed to him as much as from those who supported it. As soon as the VA trial indicated danger I and scientists started to become much more skeptical, you had no special insights, just politically driven concerns . I was interested more in it's mechanism of operation, in vitro at least, but lot's of things work in vitro and not in vivo. I followed the science and did suggest to someone with a die at home notice in your state to see their doctor about it once, but I in no way touted it. I followed the science and you should have done so too, instead of going off the dep end because Trump started spouting over it.

Even the VA study was flawed IMHO and the doses used were far too high, no wonder it caused heart problems. It is a very common medication, in some countries is off prescription and is as common as aspirin. If you had a heart condition and were going to a country were malaria is endemic your doctor will still probably prescribe HCQ. Trump and his minions did their thing with remdisivir too I believe (Trump apparently took both), bought in using inside info and Trump promoting snake oil. I've talked science here before Trump and continue to do so, so stop trying to associate me with Trump and his criminal associates like fox does with Muslim women and Joe Biden, same idea. I never inferred you were part of a crime against humanity and you have tarred the reputation of good people using the same methods of gaslighting. The doctor went to a religiously founded university was a disgusting piece of disinformation and distortion of the truth.

Here is his latest video, did you find his name among those who support Trump because he talked about his area of expertise and on going science while you completely ignorined time lines? You practically accused him of being part of a fucking cult when he was providing scientific information before anybody else was. I don't post his stuff, because there is no need, the situation was much different in the spring.

Now I promote vaccination because the science is solid and I've promoted masks and even posted links in the spring for equipment to manufacture them for local places in America. I knew you would be getting no federal help from the beginning and you have not and have 300,000 dead as a result. When you do shit you sometimes fuck up, but you do stuff because you care and compassion compels you to action, you don't just whine, bitch, complain and be cynically cool, you do things and help people

I think it is funny that you buried in your spam that I somehow went off the deep end. When in the same post you are defending your pushing Trump's snake oil.

Because if you had any actual credibility you would have known enough to know you didn't know shit about it.

But troll on, I know you have no choice but to triple(Quadruple?) down on the stupidity of pushing shit for whatever reason it is that you do it.

And I accused him of being in a cult because he did all levels of his education in the same cult university, and is employed by that same cult. It wasn't because of whatever bullshit you spewed in your spam post.

I wouldn't be so sure since you told someone to ask about Trump's snake oil.

But sure, you are basically a medical doctor because you posted a bunch of spam videos online about them. You got me.

Oh, and Dear Leader not telling his cult to get them is not helpful. It would be far better if he was actually promoting them, but it really is damned if you do damned if you don't with Trump, so you are right about not knowing how that would wind up.
