This is what happens when you have a Trump cultist in charge of the information we see. This is a clear attempt to try to 'what about' China not liking him enough to pay him off, when the Russian military is currently attacking our citizens.

But at least he had to admit that Trumps criminal lawyer is peddling Russian propaganda for dear leader.

The government of China prefers that President Trump not win reelection in November, seeing the incumbent as “unpredictable,” and Russia is using a range of measures to try to “denigrate” the president’s opponent, former vice president Joe Biden, including selective leaks of information and efforts on social media, a top U.S. intelligence official said in a statement Friday.

The statement by William Evanina, director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, was notable for identifying three countries seeking to influence the 2020 election — China, Russia and Iran. But he portrayed Russia as the most active source of interference. Evanina also said that a Ukrainian lawmaker who has been in contact with Rudolph W. Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, is part of a Russian disinformation effort.

“[P]ro-Russia Ukrainian parliamentarian Andriy Derkach is spreading claims about corruption — including through publicizing leaked phone calls — to undermine former Vice President Biden’s candidacy and the Democratic Party,” Evanina said.

Derkach met in December with Giuliani as part of an effort by the president’s allies to obtain damaging information about Biden in Ukraine, The Washington Post has reported. Giuliani also hosted Derkach on his podcast in February and has said the two have spoken repeatedly about Ukraine and Biden, terming the Ukrainian lawmaker “very helpful.”

Giuliani has said that he was aware there were recordings of Biden speaking to Ukrainians and that he sought to obtain them in 2019, while he was working to locate information helpful to Trump in Ukraine. “We would have loved to get the recordings, but we never did,” Giuliani previously told The Post.

Evanina also ascribed activities to Russia that were reminiscent of its interference in 2016, when Russia trolls bankrolled by an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin used social media platforms to flame political divisions in the United States and spread false information.

“Some Kremlin-linked actors are also seeking to boost President Trump’s candidacy on social media and Russian television,” Evanina said.

Russia is targeting Biden as well as “what it sees as an anti-Russia ‘establishment,’ ” Evanina said. “This is consistent with Moscow’s public criticism of him when he was Vice President for his role in the Obama Administration’s policies on Ukraine and its support for the anti-Putin opposition inside Russia.”

Evanina had previously drawn sharp criticism from Democratic lawmakers, who said that he needed to be more forthcoming with the public about threats that he had laid out for them in classified meetings. Evanina’s comments were the most detailed to date on various foreign efforts to influence the election. Evanina also called out Iran for “trying to divide” Americans and said Tehran “probably will focus on online influence” to foment those divisions.

Some U.S. officials criticized Evanina for appearing to equate the efforts of China and Russia when the Kremlin was interfering much more directly.

“Between China and Russia, only one of those two is trying to actively influence the outcome of the 2020 election, full stop,” said a senior U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information.

Another U.S. official, who also spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that it would be misleading to compare Russia and China’s efforts as parallel in scope. China sees the U.S. as an adversary but takes a longer-term, strategic approach that, so far, doesn’t include the kinds of short-term efforts to wound a political candidate, the official said.

“China has been expanding its influence efforts” ahead of the vote in November, pressuring political figures it sees as opposed to its interest and trying to “deflect and counter criticism of China,” Evanina said in his statement.

Is this part a troll? Attacking American journalism? Because it really seems like it is. Almost like when you were pushing Hydroxiwhatever and posting that religious doctors videos that Trump trolls were pushing.

Especially since you really have hit on a lot of the Russian disinformation campaigns bingo card with it. American companies have been hijacked, for sure. So have Canadian sites, and every other countries. Cambridge Analytic was a UK company right?

Sure American companies like Facebook as well as American politicians like Trump and the Republicans have helped the Russians in their attempt to destroy our democracy, but that does not mean that the rest of America is not rising up against it.

This is a attack being conducted by the Russian military.

No, it is an identified problem as are the ones you outlined and is a problem that democracies must cooperate and coordinate on. The Russians are doing the attacking because new technology created holes in the system that were exploited and it will be an ongoing war, not just in America, look at Brexit and decades before climate gate. In the past newspaper editors cut off foreign propaganda at the knees, not so much these days.

This problem is not America's alone and neither is it's solution, responsible government in America will help a lot, once that is re established problem solving can begin.

If you are not just another of the endless line of paid foreign trolls, I hope you stick around. Once you get over the inability to actually consider real information and draw your own conclusions again it makes talking a lot easier.

The years of listening to talking heads chewyour food for you (telling you what to think about information they show you in a youtube/Instagram/whatever forum video clickbait), it is hard to take the couple seconds to actually think and consider what is said before you respond.

Russia is the only one that got caught in public at this point. It could be that the Russian military just took a shot to implicate Trump and are using it and whatever else they have on Trump to their supposed benefit. But they chose poorly and Trump was such an idiot con artist that he exposed the whole criminal enterprise because he couldn't keep his big mouth shut.

if it is like you say and the russian trolls interfering with the election are proven facts, why did he not get impeached even though everything possible was tried to get him impeached?

The documents you provide all seem very uniform, it gets me thinking.
And did the guy who leaked these supposed intel reports get put into prison or exiled like Snowden?

Who is the Source? I would like to look him/her up to check if it is genuine because it doesn't seem so on the first look, not to me

You are misinformed (at best).

He has not been in any way shape or form impeached for anything to do with the Russian election interference. He didn't even have a criminal investigation. We need to wait for Trump to no longer be president of the Untied States.



And your thinking somehow these are leaked is hilarious.

They are public record.
