Best way to toughen or harden-off plants

My mother plant is indoors and I just got like 5 clones, their just starting to root. I want to put those clones outdoors. I was thinking about giving the clones no veg time under a light indoors, as soon as it it roots transplant them in a 5 gal in the mountains. Put them under a tree or find a shady spot then gradually move them in to a sunnier location. Would that work?

yo irie how many hours of daylight veg time do u give your plants indoors?

Reason being becuase we are only getting about 11:50 minutes of daylight right now right? So if you vegged them for anything more than about 12/12, they would start to flower when you put em out.

How do you do this? I have some seeds im about to plant, wondering if I should start them indoors first then put em out.

Or just start em outdoors the whole way through.

It would work IMO. You need to begin out of direct sunlight for a week or two then in the sun they go. Or, put them where they are going to go and shade them.

stick em in the sun right away
that can be disastrous advice...if you have tender indoor leaves, they DO need time in the shade outside, not too cold not too windy...the cells of the leaves need abut 2 wks. to thicken enough to handle the full blast of sunlight. I'm doing that right now.

you physically schlep the buckets between light and darkness (major p.i.a.), until late april...here in cali, the majic photo # is 13 hrs. of light-less,and they flower;more and they veg',which on the calendar looks like mid to late april 'til the last week of july(at least for me).

For me, my strain is supposed to get very big fast. I seen on youtube they took a clone of my strain vegged it for 2 weeks then 12/12 and it grew 8ft tall during flowering! So I'm not sure I need to Veg the clones, just put them in the sun as soon as they root, and they will get pretty big even 11:50 of light... Well at least I hope so! The reason I don't want to Veg the clones is because I will have to make multiple trips if my clones are big, but if there small you can take all of them at one time. Basically this is an experiment. If my plants get tall and yield a decent amount It will be a successful experiment.

For you, it Kinda depends on your strain and what you want. If I was starting seeds and didn't have a bunch of clones to experiment with, I would veg the seeds until long season. Then you can get a big yield. But I will defiantly make a grow journal about this experimental outdoor grow.

do you live on mercury or venus by chance?
You never heard of toughing, or hardening-off your plant? buddy you can't take an indoor plant and put it straight outdoors under the hot powerful sun they will die or if they survive they will most likely turn hermaphrodite. I have 1st hand experience with that.

Ignorant douche bag. LOL.

If you don't know what Harding-off or toughing a plant means, read the definition then comment. I don't want to hear your sassy replies that make you look ignorant.
