I've been trying to keep the light at 12" above the canopy the entire time. I was in the states last weekend so they did get a little close to the light by the time I got home. They're definitely a lot taller than the last ones when the finished. Hopefully that means I'm going to harvest more than the last time. I've given away a few ounces and I still have more than I know what to do with.

On the plus side, if you are growing more then you can use, it gives you the opportunity to play with experiments if you want, or try different grow styles without the pressure of "needing" to harvest. I have always enjoyed playing with how I train plants. All my favorite plants where ones that I turned into "manifolds" that only had 8-10 main branches. It let the plants make fewer large colas, instead of lots of smaller buds.

Training was my biggest screw up last time. I just let them do their thing. I think I overfed them during flower as well. They stayed dark green the entire time. This time I'm way less pedantic and I'm letting them go a lot longer between reservoir changes pushing 10-14 days. I wanted them to be eight single colas, but they've kind of done their own thing again. There's a lot less tops than the last grow.

They're now officially taller than me lol. I think they've stopped, they haven't really moved vertically since Saturday and it looks to be packing on bud now. We've had the a/c on for four days and the humidity issue is fully under control and sitting around 48% in the tent without the dehumidifier running. I had a friend over to help move fan and filter, he also ran a hose to vent the tent to the outside which I think will help.

Getting tall I must say, hopefully you can hold them down so you have room towards the end...
If those tall shoots move anymore, I was thinking about pulling them to the opposite side of the tent so they're a little shorter. fingers crossed I can just let them cruise to the end now.

The last sativa I had was trainwreck and it turned me into a wreck lol. I usually only smoke in the evening and the cerebral high keeps me up and makes me paranoid. My partner loves sativas and rarely get s to have it, so if this is that way it won't go to waste.

Ill tell you some of the best night time sleepy weed I've ever had or grown was the strain I got at the Niagra seed bank :) . It was from a breeder called K.C. Brains, and was just called "K.C. 36" . He is an old school breeder that I think was always underrated. Because his seeds were cheaply priced, I think that people assumed the genetics weren't good. But I ran a few of his strains over the years and got some nice plants.

Anyway the K.C. 36 was the first strain I ever grew that wasn't bag seed. It had a beautiful floral aroma, and extremely good pain relief and sleepy time effects, and I remember it having nice spear shaped colas, instead of smaller separate buds.

That might be one for me to try. I think I'd want sample the effects before I jumped into growing a sativa. I really hate the racing mind feeling and anxiety that I've gotten from sativas in the past. I wouldn't mind it so much if I could just sleep it off if it was too much. Looking at the breeder info for sativas it seems that they take a lot longer to finish than indicas.

Just bend pinch the stem till it softens then lay ot over keep doing keep em down
I think I have enough room to finish as long as they don't get much taller.

The last sativa i grew was full couch lock. 100% sativa tho.View attachment 4340869
What strain was that?

I'm using HLG 300v2 LED lights, they seem good, but I don't have anything to compare to. They stretched a little more, the tallest one is just over five and a half feet. It's got to be something I'm doing lol. They haven't grow taller since late last week which is good since the light is right at the top of the tent now.

It's starting to stink a lot when the tent is open and they're drinking almost a gallon of water per day. We lost power for just over an hour on Friday, the backup ups that powers the pumps ran out minutes power came back on. Hopefully an hour of complete darkness in the middle of the day won't cause problems. It's a little overgrown at the back of the tent, It is impossible for me to reach back there now. I got a ladder out and took a photo of the back and it doesn't look too bad. I didn't do a very good job of watching the dates, so I'm not really sure what day I'm at. I figure harvest in mid July.

Those ladies have some legs to em you should end up with pretty big colas
I really hope so. Little nuggets are fine, but I want to see big colas IRL.

Beautiful plants.. :) Would like to try growling like that one day.. cept i can't even get coir down yet.. :)
You should give dwc a try... it's the only method I've done. It's super easy once you have a plan for dealing with reservoir changes and slugging water around.
