A Fool and a Hermie Seed

flowering time has arrived, 19 days is good enough for my needs
i did the 24 hours of darkness to get things going
looks like the new growth lightened up a bit, maybe from the no light period?
the 2nd 'pheno' from my seed set, and definitely different that the 1st(or the parent)
not as wide a plant, but more nodes, around 6/7, usually i flower at 5/6
i had thought mostly indica, but slowly learning that early leaf shape doesn't tell you everything
1st plant is parent at day 23, 2nd is the current plant

glad for the new subscriber's, now just need another good grow
1 week of flower, another interesting pheno here
no sex signs, that's probably good, more likely femme
the leaf shape had me thinking sativa influences
but it has some crazy indica traits going on
height about 7 inches, width around 14
and the branches are the longest that i've yet seen

and there is an interesting genetic quirk to this 'strain'
1 leaf with a yellow patch, parent had it, 1st offspring had it
and this plant has it too, down at lower right of pic

2 weeks of flower, lots of interesting things happening
1st, it's a hermie
the 2nd roll of the dice not as lucky as the 1st
so it's 50/50 odds from my 1st 2 seeds for the hermie trait
on the other hand, it is female, and i'm cutting balls
impressed with the speed of flower as pic shows
very sativa like stretch, looks like 4 inches over the last 2 days

Have you heard of Dutch Masters Reverse? It kills off male traits permanently if done right. It works, Ive used it.

interested in your experience, i have thought about it
i've seen both experiences posted, some say it's crap and worthless
others seem to get some good results with it
but i'm a small time grower, tweezers seem to be doing the job(i hope)

Damn hermie that's to bad. Good luck with the tweezers I've heard of it being done with success as long as you get them all they'll focus on making THC right? Still slightly new to this when I had a hermie I panicked and killed it wish I would've known it was saveable I would've gave it a shot. Well live and learn will there be a rould 3 with another hermie seed you know to break the tie?

probably will go to some other seeds
hermie seeds are feminized, the chances of a female plant are very high
which is what i needed, couldn't afford a male plant at the moment
but for that, my tweezer process is going to have to work well, and not completely sure how it will turn out

3 weeks of flower, this has been an interesting grow, but aren't they all?
been pulling balls every day, quite a bit of work, only try this for a single plant
but from what i can see, not much(if any) pollen has hit the pistils
21 inches tall, lower fans yellowing up, that seems to be consistent with the genetics
i think quite a bit of sativa is in there, i doubt yield will be more than an oz, which is plenty for my needs

Just checked back on this thread and the reverse is the only thing that will fix it. You will be plucking balls until the buds start showing bananas, then you will have them to pluck all over each bud until you harvest. You can work with hermie seeds with the reverse, but not without. I just used some yesterday. I use the saturator and dont have any issues with burning like many people claim.

appreciate the info, the reverse does seem to have something to it
from what i see, fewer balls as time goes on, a few seeds is not a disaster
i doubt that every hermie is the same, some diesels seem to put out a small number of roosters at the end
but i have been warned, as they say, i'll try anything(almost) once

4 weeks of flower and 4 weeks of rooster plucking
it's a chore, about 20 minutes a day
some roosters are buried in the bud, a few seeds are sure to be in there
on the other hand, the bud looks good, time will tell if it was worth the effort
the other deal is this was the greediest feeder of nitrogen i've seen
it's being fed, just not enough to satisfy it, other grows didn't complain with the same feeding
also seems to be maturing quick
