A Fool and a Hermie Seed

^^^ good story, you looked to be very dialed in to your plant
this plant can break hearts at times with its twists and turns
so i've still got a long haul of watching like a hawk

lol, indeed.

And it was a completely different strain then I have now. It was some random Sativa Bagseed. But this is a clone of some Master Kush I have now, and it's my first round with this strain, I'm still learning tons about it. For example. Pure Indica Master Kush is very sensitive to N in the beginning of flower. I've caused a little canoeing as a result of transitioning my nutes to bloom.

3 1/2 weeks of flower - the ball watch is still coming up empty
stretch has become closer to parent, getting more on the sativa side(bud wise)
overall, close to being a clone of original strain, but hermie free(knock wood)

You godda be VERY careful bro, I just had a plant hermie on me today...
Well, it was most likely days ago, but I just noticed, and plucked off all the balls... Which were close to opening and shotting out small bits of pollen. The sacks themselves were about half the size of a seed, and MAN were there a lot of them.
I've decided not to keep her going, i've got her in her 72 hrs of darkness with ice cubes on top of the soil to put cold ice water onto the roots, hopefully it will induce a little purple and hopefully it will help the buds ripen a bit. I intend in chopping her up and making cannabutter from her immature buds and sugar leaves.
FUCKING shame too, It was "The Purp". And smelled so citric and fruity too! -_-
Keep a CLOSE eye on her. They're VERY easy to miss.

They take about 3 weeks from when they first arrive to when they open...how did you miss so many male flowers for so long?

Most people overlook the fact if pollen is released you have to wash down your whole area before your next grow, or you may pollinate your next crop, there are no "mystery" pollinations, just something the grower has overlooked.

And just cos theres seeds doesnt necessarily mean the pollen came from your room either...

sorry for the trouble, i'm watching - just don't see any banana activity

They were smaller then half the size of a seed. They were still closed, if anything she dropped some pollen on herself, since none were open, 1 of them simply had something the size of a hair (but less then 1 mm long) sticking out the top of the pod. So if anything, it was going to, but didn't. Either way, i'm relatively certain she didn't get any of my MK.

that's a rough deal, that size would be a bitch to find

Yeah, considering there were so many of them...
She was so beautiful too....Like having a daughter go suuuuper lesbian, cut off her hair, grow a beard and call herself "Tom"...
Such a shame...
Oh wells, i've got her in a box for 3 days of darkness, and i'm chopping her for cannabutter. We'll see how it comes out.

4 1/2 weeks of flower - now i'm getting happy, just a little
another careful exam, no male parts present, take it a day at a time
yellowing fans down low, looks like the natural maturation process
i'd say this will be finished by 9 weeks, which would be a little quicker than parent
frost is appearing, upper leaves very sativa like

Not bad man. A hermie seed is all I have myself. The hermie, and my 4 babies were all taken from me. :-(
So if I end up with no other seeds/clones, i'll be growing a hermie seed when I get my dr's note and maybe my medical card to go with it. Although the dr's note is really all you need to be legal.

hopefully my experience(which is still a work in progress) will give you some hope for a good grow
my inspection yesterday turned up no bananas - closer and closer
i don't think this is such a fluke, the experiences by the growers who had actually tried these despised seeds was closer to what i'm seeing now

Good deal man. Yeah, I've grown a single hermie seed and got a pretty mean he/she. But I also heat stressed her ever so slightly. Dead of winter or dead of summer seems to be the best times to grow as far as I can tell...since it's when i'm able to keep my inside temps most stable.
And yeah, I couldn't believe my eyes...the cops had dumped fully formed germable seeds on mt carpet and left them to be found it seems...
But...they also left a loaded pipe in my garage too so...

5 1/2 weeks of flower - no sign of the male parts
can it be that a complete and utter hermie can produce a fine female?
it looks to be, late banana's could still show, but the window is closing
some genetic observations, overall this plant is close to being a clone of the parent
same leaf appearance, plant structure, bud formation(strong central cola)
big difference is odor, this plant has virtually no odor, effectively undetectable by smell

6 1/2 weeks of flower - the ball watch continues, not one showing
minimal smell if undisturbed, something interesting is cooking when rubbed though
picture outside of the growing chamber showing some bud weight, not bad
this is only 78w, so please adjust accordingly, 3 more weeks at least

7 1/2 weeks of flower - still a straight female as far as i can see
i'm thinking about 2 more weeks of flower, almost there
yield will probably just about a zip, that's my comfort zone for my non mmj state

Lookin good man. She's almost there!
thanks for the drop by, this grow is getting better, mostly from getting some confidence it won't be a hermie nightmare
a lot of seeds like these get tossed, i don't know what the 'real' chances of seeds like these going herm, but i can say it's not 100%, there may be some good phenos in the hermie seed pile
