that could be it!????? when a plant is seeded or ppl are making there crosses they say a plant needs more nitrogen to produce seeds or because its pregnate... by you giving veg nutes all the way to 5-6 maybe the ovules are swelling or treating it like it has a seed in turn making the ovule bigger and crackle! makes sense to me for sure.... stop giving veg nutes at week 2 and go with a straight bloom formula keep the nitro low after week two... i bet your ovules disapear.... ??? what you think?
He just started extending the veg nutes to keep the plants healthy I think. His plants want more. I personally run the same nutrients from start to finish and the plants usually love it aside from the odd ball. Many people that run dyna grow use the veg formula from start to finish because it has enough of everything. I used to use the Lucas formula with GH (like many do) and that is bloom and micro from start to finish. It's about what the plants each need, not what bottle it's in.

AnywAy I was just saying I would be surprised If that was the cause of the ovule issues because he just started extending it, and the ovule thing seems to have been an issue for multiple grows now.

Before this round, i usually went 2-3 weeks into 12/12 using veg nutes than switch to flower nutes. I had the issue with those plants as well...on plants that started yellowing early from nitrogen deficiency. Plants don’t look overloaded now and one of them could actually use a bit more nitrogen. I go weaker strength on the liquids and top feed with a more even dry fert at a weaker strength. I’ve found good levels of each to use over the grows. The jacks were screaming for more n last grow. They stretch through week 4 for sure. They’re hungry bastards. Tell you the truth. The ovules are oversized as soon as they appear at beginning of flower. Idk..take an ovule out of a preflowers at day 15 when still using veg nutes and I can take a pic of one of my ovules at same time and mine will look like it can eat yours. Lol. I used to joke that I was just too good at growing. My plants were just so damn healthy that everything grew big and healthy..everything including the ovules. A curse of the true pro grower. A thorn in the side that only the masters know about. Lol

You got me thinking about the nitrogen. I did start using it a week further into flower on the regular around when the issue started. Started growing slightly bigger plants and had to feed them more flower nutes than before at around the start of this issue also. Before, I’d grow one ounce plants that made it to finish just from the happy frog fruit and flower that was mixed into the soil in the pot up leading into flower. Only has to feed tiger bloom a few times mid late flower. Didn’t need any veg nutes at all in 12/12. This is what I used to do. Now I up pot before flower with a balanced or more veg type dry nute mixed into the soil..and I use liquid veg nutes first two to three weeks at-least. This really has to do with growing bigger plants and keeping them green but has me thinking. They are oversized early into flower so makes me think it’s not a build up of excess nitrogen causing it but idk. With my next plants, I’m going to go back to potting up before flower with the fruit and flower mixed in (somethjng like 4-8-6) like I used to and maybe just go a bit heavier on it and go very minimal on the liquid veg nutes for first few weeks of flower. Seems the crackle is worse in plants that go further into flower. The ovules are somewhat hard..almost shelled..but not like a seed. I’m thinking the ovule gets harder as it is older and eventually reaches a point where it cracks more and more pronounced when lit with a flame. Somethjng is making them get big and continue to get harder. I’d like to blame a build up of something from the tiger bloom or my tap water. The plant is steady receiving an element in the tap water or.some level of a certain nutrient or something that it doesn’t like. I believe it all happens when the water touches the soil. I mix the jug up and pour the problem into the pot...poor plants. Lol

FOund a few pics on my old phone of one of the finished jacks right before chop. Finished her as close to done as I could. Plant just wasn’t gonna live much longer. Foxtails in the buds and almost finished look but to me it seems like severe lack of trich production..and trichs that won’t turn. Could just be me. Sucks cause this plant went into flower at about 37-38 days from seed sprout and yielded over 3 Oz dry in 2 gallon pot. Could have got 4 Oz off her if my fert schedule had been friendlier to her291CD6C6-9D45-40C4-9D30-95329EB47139.jpeg3F44FB45-D8FE-4D73-AF28-735E257E5E96.jpeg819AEE53-BF5B-4B02-A103-287EFFDD89F1.jpeg

JUst a few pics before bedtime. ALl plants go into the hps room for lights off. 34 days in. All plants doing great except the biggest Jack 47 nitrogen hog has gone yellow on lower couple sets of bottom leaves. The spider mites on her don’t help. This is why I feed her veg nutes into 5-6 week of flower. Going to hit her with some flower nutes next water but add some fish fertilizer for more nitrogen. She has 6 or more weeks to go cause she’s a slow bitch. 4 fluorescent plants in front and 3 hps plants in back

Early morning flowering. 36 days in. They’re all cruisin. Hit the jack in the white bucket under the hps with dawn soap and water to control the mites last night. She took it well. She’s gonna have some nice long colas. 729B1B79-EC54-4651-A872-5878AF25524B.jpegC63716F6-908C-4A4C-8C59-3E1257566AC7.jpeg

Pre lights off pics and update on the smoke from last harvest. The one jack 47 is actually half decent now. Maybe it’s just my brain acting weird or something. Smoked a bowl an hour ago and I’m still high. Pretty much a sativa high but not too special. The plant on the left here is a clone of her. Still not keeper material. Not even close.F393BEA5-6E4A-4708-905F-A27D0294D344.jpeg

Yea guys, I spoke way too soon. Smoked a bowl of the later harvested jack and it’s nice. Sativa all the way. Caught myself stuck at the window listening to the birds with my eyes closed. Lol. Nice up high and sets in decently heavy, all in the head. Got the itch to move around.

Nice dude looking good! I'm glad to hear the plants that got more time are giving you a better high! If you haven't already figured it out, I'm a firm believer in letting plants fully mature :) for best results!

Thanks man. For sure. I’m gonna let the blue widows go atleast another week this time..or however long it takes. The jack 47 I expect to go to atleast 85-90 days 12/12. I have plenty of smoke to get me by so no impatience this time. Just give them what they want and wait

While the plants under the hps are producing bigger buds, the plants under the fluorescents seem to be putting on more frost and smell a bit stronger. Just an observation I made this morning
