4 strains finished with no effects

While the plants under the hps are producing bigger buds, the plants under the fluorescents seem to be putting on more frost and smell a bit stronger. Just an observation I made this morning
Lots of people love the way floros grow. They are supposed to really push quality, and the lower temps would should mean less evaporated terpenes.

Grew strictly with 4' floros several years ago and they worked well. But to get anything decent, you needed a lot of them. My flower area had 16 of the 40W warm white tubes. While you don't get those massive "donkey dicks", you do get nice dense nuggets that can still take you to your happy place.

Yeah growing with floros gets to be all about canopy control so you can completely blanket the plants with them and keep them as close as possible.

i think the quality is there with the fluros . Yield can be more of a factor.

Correction on strains since I evidently mixed my cuttings up (stoned mislabeling?) the one on the left is actually the longer flowering jack 47 that was pretty good. The one on the right..idk. Lol, it’s growing kind of like the shorter flowering jack 47 but smells like none of the plants did last time. Kinda weird. Blue widow in the back is starting to actually make little buds now. Doing good but it’s just a bitch plant. It doesn’t like nutrients or water. Lol. Even in smaller pots. They just dont like to drink compared to other strains. They stay happy for weeks with just one half strength feeding in depleted soil. I guess that makes it an easy plant but it’s just annoying to me. Lol. Idk, I don’t the fat leaves or lack of stretch.either. Not a fan of the plant at all. It will probably finish before the jack 47. It flowers very fast3A7556B8-9CE4-460C-BD6A-3523B4367B15.jpegD1700A38-A714-480F-88C1-7CC94EABDFFB.jpeg

These two plants I had thought were jack 47..they are now smelling like the cheese. The plant I thought was the cheese is clearly the chem. Weird cause I thought I only took one cheese cut. Lol. Seems faster than last run so far. Being under the blue tubes has hurt bud size but looking good so far67CA77A8-FB4D-4A96-BEC9-75ACBAA1A493.jpeg6C6DF310-7335-433E-9D7A-D3924C2EA959.jpeg212E2B34-3195-48F3-940D-E83A22E05390.pngDF510C0E-6BBD-4E66-9DA3-556690D3F39B.png

Update the dinachem is pretty potent. I jumped the gun on the condemnation of these plants because the blue widow is such a pile of crap buzz and forever will be. The other buds improved with better dry and cure like no other time before. I was smoking them a bit on the more moist side before. Blue widow and Pakistan chitral Kush have been hands down the biggest disappointments I’ve grown. I’ve grew out seeds from 60$ an ounce brick weed that was surely grown from some cartel in Mexico and it put them to shame

End of day 45. Some fan leaves on the plants under the hps are getting just a touch funky from the soap water mix but they’re ok. Hit em hard and left the soapy water on the leaves last time. Can’t stand the spider mites but they’re population has really gone down the last few weeks. If I was vegging I’d really hit them extra hard and have soap covering every millimeter dripping all over the place. Lol. They’re far enough along to where I’m not worried. They’ll fuck up some leaves and I’m ok with it.

Pleasantly surprised that instead of just one cheese plant, I discovered I have three due to mislabel and brain fart. Best of all, the biggest one is cheese. I originally thought the smallest plant in the group was the only one but turns out it was the chem. Works out for me cause I had to took the cheese early as hell last time and can tell it’s gonna be better than the jack 47 phenos I thought they were. A predicted ounce and a quarter of cheese to now a predicted 7-7.5 zips. Can’t complain

Day 46. Plant in white bucket almost fell all the way over when I had it up on the watering crate. It was definitely laying sideways on the the blue widow. Lol. Came back to put it back in place and had to tie it again. My weak ass knot loosened. Lol. I’ll see how it looks in the morning. Should be fineB0055CCB-86DE-4E04-8AB9-D5C083F911D9.jpeg8C52BA02-BDBC-4A5C-8EDE-E4F901D360C8.jpegD3C015A7-EEED-4419-9352-8F152028D928.jpeg

Get some support on those girls! The less work they have to do holding themselves up the more work they can do making buds :).
For sure. It’s kind of bugging me. I hate when anything like that happens. Surely was some root damage. Will probably bother me for days. Lol. Was funny cause I actually was thinking about it while I was eating. I pictured the thing laying over and when i went up there..sure enough it was. Laziness on my part with the poor support

got These yesterday. Was fast and hell of a deal. Actually 12 seeds in the bodhi packs. Buy one get one free and another 6 free seeds from bad dawg. Paid 77$ for 30 seeds. Gonna run both the Bodhi packs cause they’re regs and do real small plants so I have a decent amount of light for them all. Wanting to find a good keeper pheno or two to run clones of and keep around EB89B934-9D54-47B8-98FF-916C50F02DD7.jpeg B2337381-A16C-457A-A24B-1409C59C06AC.jpeg so I can have some solid stability in my grows. Tired of the crap shoot.

Day 48. Started the morning with a power outage so they had an extra half hour of dark. Anyways, looking pretty good I think. The cheeses are In bulk up mode. Looking like they have maybe 3 weeks left. We will see. The blue widow under th hps is making drastic changes daily. It’s gonna catch up in a few weeks. Jack 47 is barely halfway.DFB7401E-A996-41F4-A6C5-A9468E075252.jpegADB16FCC-B94B-4F2F-A7FA-EE60F339FAC7.jpeg4C79A1ED-5A39-4A02-9920-4A3221A3A422.jpeg034D114B-E632-4A34-BC15-06FC671B2203.jpeg

First I can relate to the power outages, I've been plagued with similar issues with cycle. My play got an extra 3 hours last night because of a storm. I unplugged the light before it even turned on the wind and lighting was crazy.

Seondlly I wouldn't even start thinking about them being done yet. From these pictures NONE of them are even remotely close. The swelling stage happens at the very end not the middle like this. Currently they are just growing buds and getting bigger.

I would suggest holding off until these plants are actually ripened and mature if you want some really good results. After the pistils are 90ish% red and receeded then it has 2-3 weeks left!!! That is when they swell internally and bulk up. That is when they properly finish maturing.

Gotcha. I’m definitely going to let them finish fully. Just being hopeful I guess. I call this the bulking part cause theyre bulking up. Yea the pistils are maybe 60% -70% red at this point on the cheeses but If they need 4 weeks or more then they go 4 weeks or more. The power outages have been a thing for me too this flower cycle. Had a 4 hour power outage in the middle of day a few weeks ago and moved all the plants to the windows.

Been really paying attention to other people’s pics and grows on here since you really got me rethinking flowering times. So many on here are pulling almost everything at 8-9 weeks 12/12. Same guys consistently for years if I go back into their content. You’re definitely right. They’re not letting them finish. Weird. I mean, probably 80-90% of the growers on here are harvesting weeks early. Plants all flushed out and faded from top to bottom at like day 46.

This is pretty much true. I also thing strains popular now vs 7 years ago have a lot more sativa in them to increase the yield. Most of the stuff I was running in the past was in fact truly done 56 days of 12/12. What I'm running now is 70 days of 12/12. I got some oldschool purps about to go into flower and im hoping to get back closer to 56, it's growing a lot more like a indica than the hybrids I've been doing.
