2nd grow - Absolute Stealth SCROG

hope i didn't miss it somewhere in your thread.... but how big is your res? i have been thinking about setting up a system that is close to yours but not quite sure how big of a res to use.. plants are looking good by the way

added big bud additive today, not sure when to start on the flowering nutes...

waiting for them to start flowering i guess.

i thought they were about 2 or 3 weeks on 12/12, and was worried that there was no sign of flowers, but looked back through the thread, and am only about 10 days in. so just waiting to sex the plants, remove the males, then ad the budding nutes.

dang man, plants are lookin great, that scrog is pretty neat, looks like its not far from showin sex, maybe next couple days looks like. did u use feminized seeds? or do u know if there are gonna be any males?

Bag seed bro, probably gunna have to give half of them the chop as they will be male.

Is no big deal though, because there are more than enough plants in there (12) to still fill the space created when i do remove the males.

so what are u gonna do about the roots, cant that cause root rot in some cases ive heard it does. that would suck. i make my roots into a birds nest, works rather well specially since my system has more that one plant in them. easy to flush too. but i could see how it wouldnt work in ur case, the container would have to me taller.

Yeah its a worry leaving them behind, but i dont know if i am going to be able to remove the roots of the males without doing major damage to the roots of the remaining females.

With the missus on leave last week and again this week, i have only tended to my grow once last week, and am going away for a week today as well, so they aren't getting the attention they require, but they seem to be doing quite well. The screen has really filled out nicely.

Just on the root issue, the one time i checked my plants this week, they were finally starting to show sex (been 3 weeks on 12/12 now). I managed to identify one male, so i chopped it. tried to remove the roots gently, but as i tugged on the remaining part of the stem i could see the disturbance it was causing right across the try, right up to and even under the other plants.

Will try and remove the roots again when i get back, and i'm sure by then will have to chop a few more males out as well. Thinking i may just have to risk leaving the roots behind.

Update time...

Day 30 of flowering

have only had 3 chances to check on my plants in the last 3 weeks, as the missus doesn't work during school holidays.

Amazing news on the sex of the 12 plants i had. Out of 12, i got 10 females

How fuking stoked am i!!!

Only problem that has created is over crowding, but i think i can manage that

So on to the pics, note some small buds starting to form, and my new cloning room - and ex dishwasher

I cut 9 clones and put them in rockwool cubes, am going to build a bubbler for them tomorrow though.

Loving my new cloning room!

Added a little element from a coffee pot warmer, with a glass of water on top to increase temp and humidity.

Have it running 15min on, 1 hr off. Keeps it nice and warm and wet in there.

The light is on 18/6. Not sure if this is optimum or not?

Bloody dishwasher is perfect. Reflective inside, power already running to it, and a draw that slides right out to make maintaining the clones easy as!

Sorry all the new bud shots were blurred. will get some next time. not much change in the bud department. bit disappointed. but i guess that’s what you get using fluoro's.



Just on that note, i have also switched all lights to warm white. Now have 6x24w CFL's, and 2x36w 4 footers.
