the plant can sustain life on its own for a good 3 weeks before you will ever need to add nutes. and when u do add nutes you should add them at 1/4th strength then progress as they get bigger.

If you have a look at the photo's, the screen is preventing me from putting the lights any closer, not that it matters if they stretch slightly anywho, as height will not be an issue.

The 65 watter and its buddy were broken on arrival, or shortly thereafter. so purchased the 28's.

so i went ahead and added nutes at 1/4 strength when the plants were at the stage pictured below. That was about 8 days ago.

I will take some photo's tomorrow of what they look like now. This difference is amazing...

New pics taken today, plants 1 month old.

A small amount of nute burn on the very tip of some of the leaves, but other than that they have responded really well. They are almost touching the screen now, so i will switch to 12/12 in the next couple of weeks.

just took a sneak peak at the girls whilst the wife was cooking dinner (where she belongs;-)), and they are pushing up against the screen. Amazing!

I'll start 12/12 later this week.

New pics taken today.

They have well and truly reached the screen, and are pushing through.

Not sure if i am suppose to weave the plants over and under the wire by letting them grow up through the wire and then tuck them under the next bit of wire.

or should i be continuously pushing them back through the same hole they came up through, keeping all of the stems under the wire.

To weave or not to weave? That is the question; any one's help would be appreciated.

For starters, that looks really good bro! damn nice!

If it was me.... I would assist the ladies to come through the screen on their own and when they got a good amount above the screen start trimming everything below it to keep air flow and ability to get to the pots. I have had good luck with trimming mine up to the 2-3 weeks of flowering but some say that is a no-no. I got 600 HPS on a ebb and flow table. bongsmilie

For what it's worth, every scrog I have seen they tuck em back under. This helps the various budsites that wouldn't normally get a lot of light have a chance to grow more.

yeah you will bro! if you chop down a male and leave behind the roots, its roots will rot, in turn it will dump rotted shit into your tray and rot out all the other roots of the other plants., i'm not all the way caught up reading yet. so this may have taken care of this already.

awesome grow though, SERIOUS scrog!

Thats all really nice, and thanks for your input, but you didn't answer my question.

How do you train your plant to grow horizontal? Do you continuously push every stem that emerges through the wire back under it?

Or do you weave the emerging stems under and over through the holes in the wire?

Or do you allow the plants to emerge through the wire and then simply tie them down?

Obviously this is my first SCROG, so any experienced SCROGers welcome to comment.

P.S. Was going to switch to 12/12 today. Good idea, or not?

Cheers.

Shit hay! didn't think leaving the roots behind would cause a problem. Was planning on removing the rest of the plant, but leaving the roots.

Ideally i would use only females. Will clone some this time, for my next grow, to negate this problem.

Appreciate your help.

sorry for not getting to it, was a bit tired, ******This link will help**** *Link*
all of this is from the FAQ in the top right corner of your page.
If you are wanting to weave them through the screen then yes. In the video "High Times Ultimate Grow - Jorge Cervantes" there is a garden that was weaved in a trellis around a garden. The way it looked was they took the new growth and just tucked it back under. Now I have done my fair share of LST and have seen how a plant is very bendable (not sure if it is a word) you can send her this way of that way. If ya got a stem that looks like it is gonna have two or the sites, weaver it in the screen so that you get the mini cola's.

The SCROG tables that I have seen, have not tied any of the ladies back, they grew clones that would stop growing at 12-36 inches and put off 1-3 good sized cola buds. They trimmed everything below the screen after a good 2-3 inches is above the wire or netting.

Hope that helped this time bro!

Nice grow. I really like the stealth cab. For fun Im thinking of taking old junk and converting it into a functional stealth micro grow cabs and selling the complete set up on craigs list. And maby a clone conducive to that particular set up could be provided as well. Theres so many people I run into that dont grow because of the cost and the high maintenence.
Cool grow and I hope that wifey doesnt catch on.
