The Quest For The Old Skunky Afghani

@Seymour Green I really appreciate the words of encouragement dude, thank you!

The seeds germinated only 12 days ago and yet some of them already have a skunky smell. What matters most is how the buds will end up so there's no way to know whether we'll find really something outstanding but still, this is positive

Here are some of the plants 12 days after germination

@Seymour Green Thanks brother!

I transplanted today into some 5 liter pots (1.3 gallon) and just used some light mix and a bit of seabird guano.
The seedlings were starting to get a little rootbound so it was time to transplant.
I'll flip them to flower tomorrow! I wonder how much they are going to stretch but I think they are going to remain very squat and bushy.

Can't wait to see how they flower!!:fire:

What's up Rollitup members! (:

Here are some of the Afghans exactly 7 days after I switched them to flower.
Some plants are starting to smell really good.
Most of them have a skunky smell. When I rub the stems, some phenos smell like burnt rubber while others have a more fruity smell and a couple of them have a floral scent . However there's almost always an underlying skunky smell.

Here is a little update for you guys!

I treated all the Afghans with a solution of Neem oil and Black soap. There aren't any pests though, but prevention is the best cure. ;)

The pic is from yesterday, 11 days after switching to 12/12. I'm loving these fat broad leaves...

Most males have already shown their sex and I'm starting to see some pistils on a few plants.

Hey, what is up guys!

The plants have now been in 12/12 for 27 days.
I'm amazed by the dankness of certain plants stems. Let's hope that the buds will also have a pungent smell.

Now it's getting interesting, we're about to find out how these plants bloom, the different bud smells and so on..
I cannot wait :bigjoint:

Wow man, they look fantastic! Is there any way of others getting access to seeds like these? I'd be very interested in getting some if I could...
