Seeking Info 1970's Breeding in California - HELP!

Hi all, my name is Rob and I breed for Deep Ellum Seeds, but that's not what I'm here to talk about today.

Today, I am on a quest for knowledge. After looking at the different forums, I think Breeder's Paradise is where I should ask..

I am seeking some information about the early days of growing and breeding on the West Coast and in Holland.

The label that I breed for has been around since '99, but our roots as a breeding organization stretch back 5 decades. This may sound strange, but some in the family have this crazy notion that perhaps our founding father and his original crew were some of the first to do a few key things...

Now, I am way more rational and skeptical than they are, so I'm trying to disprove those theories and in order to do so, I'm looking for anyone who was around during the 60's and 70's to say that he or she did it before our people did.
.
So if there is ANYONE that is familiar with the history of cannabis breeding in the New World, post-Eisenhower, that could help me, I would really appreciate it.

We know the when our people did things, we just don't know if some one did it before us or not.
here are our dates:

We started growing weed in 1965. We first began to pull males in 1966.
1966 was also the year that we first began to intentionally and methodically breed pot.
we deliberately hybridized a landrace cross that didnt hermie, and started distributing this seedless pot and the seeds and the knowledge to grow it, to California, beginning in 1968. We called it "sinsemillia" which was the name that the Mexicans from Sinaloa gave it.

We brought our Sinsemillia and other strains to Cali from 1968, 1969, 1970 and into 1971.
In 1971, Dad had a newborn baby, so he stayed put for the most part, and West Coast buyers would come get product from us until 1987.. In 1987 we moved to CO and went indoors (I know others grew in CO in 87, I'm just concerned with the 1970's)

In 1968 we stabilized and then began to export our "Mexican haze" to California. It was a 2-way hybrid that we created, made up of a Michoacan and an Oaxaca. Mom said "it put you in a haze", so we called it Mexican Haze, or simply "Haze". In 1973, we started calling our Mexican Haze by a different name: Electric Fizz (or Fuzz, there's some debate among surviving members if it was Fizz or Fuzz).

In 1968 we went to Afghanistan and brought back seeds. We grew this afghan domestically and sold the weed and seeds to the west coast, beginning in 1969.

In 1970 we went to the Colombian mountains and brought back Santa Marta Gold seeds, which we grew domestically and we then sold the pot and seeds to California, beginning in 1971.
(Some accounts from family say we first sold Santa Marta in 1970, but until I pin down an exact date I will err on the side of caution and say 1971).

In 1973 we went to Holland and gave our American genetics to the Dutch.

... So did any Americans do these things before our people did????

thanks,
cheers
Rob
