ok so im ok with 100w per board if i used the 1750ma drivers but then you say fully utilize the driver like it i dont use up all the power is this a bad thing with parallel wiring ? i have more of these drivers than anything else in my collection right now and would like to use them.but...i also have some other stuff i can use if the 1750 is foolish? heres the pile im willing to take from for this qb project

So if any of these other drivers get me close to 80 to 100w per board im happy to use them?
185-1050 will give you about 120 on one board
240-1050 will give you about 125 each on 2 boards in series
185 1400 will give you about 90 watts each on 2 boards in parallel.

Looks pretty cool but I do not see any prices. I like the idea of UV but do not like web sites without prices.
I asked him a few questions and he said for two it's like 2400 I think he said lol they are Samsung diodes tho and he ignored my question on what brand driver but said there are six 100 watts drivers and something about them being able to run on solar power too
I won't be buying any of those lights but I would like about ten more qb panels tho my first should be here tomorrow

View attachment 3870164 Thought you guys would be interested in these lights using similar tech I talked to a rep and they are pricy but look cool with options to add uv strips dude http://smartgrowtechnologies.com/ ridiculous price tho if u ask me
A little musing after checking out the RZR 600 and their report. So Smartgrow's RZR 600 uses 510 wall-watts for 49,671 lumens.

So 6 QBs at 75 watts each would be 450 watts at the boards and around 79,500 lumens. A total butt-kicking of the RZR600.

And add to to that, if I read previous posts right, HLG is thinking about making the QB "skinny"...rumored to be somewhere in the 20-something inches wide range with the same number of LEDs...just saying.

So to me it looks like 6 QBs at say 75 watts would be far better and cheaper than the RZR600...just saying.

(I hope we see the QB "skinny"!)

True on both counts. Doesn't change how I feel about them in the slightest, lol
Ya I was just pointing out that you have a different product and that you didn't mount them so the fact that you like yours has nothing to do with the optics he's looking at buying. No trying to be a dick your lights/grow is dope just don't need to set people up for disappointment I'm sure better optics will be out soon for the diy guys from my experience buying the optics advertised is that they are way more of a pain than they are worth

@sixstring2112 do you sell drivers or just have a stockpile for projects?
no,half of those are from rahz's sale but i do need them to finish the other side of my room/shop.
We will start stocking the optics for you guys. Sorry you ran into that problem...... I'll order a case Monday.
what holds these lenses in place? man a one piece lense for these boards would be nice, prolly sell like hotcakes to ;)
