Update, week 8 day 56 of 12/12

All is well here at Casa GR8's! The ladies and their clones are all doing ok, have come out of their mutation period but the tips of BW 5 are stretching again. No light change, time change nute change, or love change, so unsure about it. I have contacted MNS with pics but have not heard back them yet.
On the two in the cabinet I have backed off the N, and am using .25 rate and tonights feeding will switch to .10 rate of N and at the same rate of P and K with next feeding and remain there till next week. I will then cut off all N, begin flush and use only pH'ed water until harvest on 4/20 @ 4:20 in the afternoon, after a bowl at 4:20 PM. And as usual on 4/20, I will wake up and do a bowl at 4:20 AM then go back to sleep. bongsmilie

Under the 400W HPS we have:

Black Widow 1

Black Widow 5, notice the spikes, they only started on 3/26 and have grown about three inches since then. I am thinking it's got to be related to the pH issues I had a few weeks ago. This is the thin cola plant but has begun to fatten up, I expect gr8 things over the next few weeks.:weed:20150402_110213.jpg
I have added two 18" T8 uvb's to the cabinet. Manually moving this light around the cabinet every two hour. I have the fixture about 12" from the plants.
I used them for my past LED grows and liked the results. I grew three grows using the uvb and two grows without the uvb, same strain on two of the grows one with the uvb and one without. Saw more trichs on the uvb plant and I believe it was just a bit better IMHO. I know it caused no harm so going to use it here.

Under the CLW SS400 LED in the bloom mode.
(4) BW 1's and (3) BW 5's

The Mothers of the above plants are under the T5's.
As of right now the one on the left (BW1) will be the keeper(?) .
That is based on growth rate, size and density of the cola. Final decision will be made after I cure and take some buds to the panel for a taste test. It will be a blind test because they are all blind. 8-) 8)

Let's see how they do this next week!

Stoneslacker what's been going on? I see that you are still lurking around. Are you still running your hempy 250watt scrog?
Hey sky, great to see and hear from you too man. I am still running with the 250 scrog setup, been messing around
feminizing so haven't been pushing the limit too hard.
How is things in your world? I see you are definitely still keeping it green over there.

GR8 - Have you checked for any type of light leakage? That looks almost exactly like what happened to a friend of mine when
he didn't black out a lighted display in his room.

SS, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I did check for leaks, none to be found, had GF close me up in the cabinet, I kept my eyes closed for about 5 minutes then checked for leaks. I then, with the light off in garage and the light on in the cabinet, I took a mirror and ran the areas around the door and could find no leaks. Although I did not find any leaks I am going to remove and replace all the weather stripping around the door before my next grow. Cabinet is going on three yrs old.

Hope to hear from Scott at MNS soon.

Hit day 15 in my latest scrog grow. Going with Reserva Privada OG, Royal Queen Crit,
and Connoisseur Genetics Purple Cheddar.

Setup is three 2 gallon buckets, 100% perlite with a 3 inch coco cap. Each bucket has its
own individual screen allowing me to move them for watering and light coverage.

Going 4 full days between waterings and could probably stretch it to 5 in an emergency. I am
letting the buckets go very dry and have been meaning to get a photo of the buckets on a
bath scale pre and post watering. I may do that when I water on Sunday.

I like to feed with every watering and flush every +/- 17 days. Last couple grows I have been
having issues with ph levels over 6 so I've been keeping levels at 5.5-5.8 strictly.

Couple pics

I think I should re-name this plant from the "World's Smallest Hempy" to the "World's Slowest Hempy"
Started to germinate about March 10...no signs of life until about March 20th
It won't die but just won't grow either....and I can't kill it, so it will continue until it dies or grows

look at the massive growth in just over 2 weeks :)

I am about to experiment with a few hempy buckets. A solo cup, a 3 gallon bucket and a 2 liter coke bottle. I'm hoping to keep them in beg for no more then 2 weeks. Then putting them in bloom under a 250 watt cfl. Any guesses on what can of yield I may be able to see. I'm also using 100% perlite. Doing all this in hope of a future SOG grow. Any advice would be GREAT!!!

Guessing yield is nearly impossible. Using methods to increase yield are all over this site, but for
a 250w, using a scrog or some type of LST might work best.

With 250w HPS and some supplemental cfl's I pull around 120-200g depending on strain and
conditions.

If you're heading in the sog direction and with just 2wks veg do all of them in 2L. To get any benefit out of a 3gal you'll need to veg for a lot longer. To grow out in a solo cup is something you do on dare. There are many hempy 2L sogs shown here. Just keep it simple.

Ok, cool deal!! Do you think I can have success with 100% perlite? And should I feed it nutes every time I water?

100% perlite works great, I like to cover the perlite with a cap of soil, it keep the perlite in place during waterings, keeps the light out and helps with the wicking, but thats just me, and straight perlite is a proven winner. Yes feed every time.

Do I feed daily or every other day. I keep seeing different answers to that.

You water (feed) when the container is dry. With 2L it will probably start out at every 3rd day or so once they get going you will have to water everyday. Maybe SkyRocket or ISK could chime in on frequency since they have more experience with the 2L.

it's like any sized container, water when dry.

I'll water daily when they are very young, but once they are established I'll wait until the container is near bone dry

Temp/RH, wind, container size and medium all will influence watering intervals, but typically every 48 hours is the normal for me

however with my current grow (in 2 litre bottles) I had to water every 36 hours as they are just thirsty bitches. but yet the plants in a solo (16 oz) cups are every 48 hours...go figure!

so bottom line: .... let your gals dictate when to water/feed, as they know best

I had to find a photo to show I have done a 2L. I had a hard drive failure last yr and lost a bunch so I couldn't find the 7 footers. But I did find this photo from a few summers back. The feature is the Maui Wowie mom I grew out on the deck in a 3.5gal bucket. But if you look on the bench there are 5, most are behind the show off.

Does this apply to 100% perlite?
