My ss315 ran cooler than my old tasty led in my 3x3.
Hmmmm hard to believe , but I bet your LEDs finished 5-6 days faster eh?

Simply supplement with a handful of 450s and some 625-630sIs it just me but there looks like a big difference in the 450 range lol
Why do that when he can just use 4000k?Simply supplement with a handful of 450s and some 625-630s
My answer was for someone who already has 3000K, PLUS, our girls do not need that much 450 during flower, so supplemented 3500-300 + some 450s might be a better choice, though it adds to the buildWhy do that when he can just use 4000k?

I thought, from what I read (I'm new... so I'm probably full of shit) that cree's are most efficient under 60w?you cant get good penetration at 40 watts a cob lol
i was kidding they look beautiful! i run them at 50w myself, with great resultsI thought, from what I read (I'm new... so I'm probably full of shit) that cree's are most efficient under 60w?
I was looking at possibly doing a citi or vero build... for the price and efficiency. Get more for the monies... nah mean? ha.I do cxb 3500k 80cri with clu048 1212 90cri
But I can build it myself and get more and it be cheaper??? Plus I really don't want to have to buy stuff for temp management with a lec 315. Yeah, the lec 315 is appealing and I have seen great results from it from other people it's for sure My second option.I think you are best off with a 315 CMH, they are designed to do a 3x3 area and i know a few people getting over a pound per 315 , which is extremely impressive. If you want to stick to LED's i'd recommend the timber COB frameworks, best bang for the buck.
There are no temp issues with a 315. You get an affordable plug and play light with a proper complete spectrum of light. But I can build it myself and get more and it be cheaper??? The 315w LEC is probably the only HID-type light I'd consider using. Not trying to talk shit or be snooty. Just a thought. There are no temp issues with a 315. You get an affordable plug and play light with a proper complete spectrum of light.
You can also get an A/C hood if you deem it necessary but that is rarely the case. You need to listen to people who have actually used the lights they're talking about and not guys going off of bro science and have no experience.
But if you are going to go COB I commend you for taking the DIY route.
I highly doubt you can build an LED to cover a 3x3 for cheaper than you can buy a 315 CMH , and they don't put off much heat. But I can build it myself and get more and it be cheaper???
