i am in the same spot as you. have you looked into bcblonds lights? saw them on a thread on here and was looking into them.... looks like they are made with the same components as the timber 200 watt cree cob lights but have the frame included and set up for the same price....plug and play..... any thoughts?

You really are a dumb mother fucker, a buddy of mine made a cob light for me last year, it was outstanding til the solder joints came apart. The buds were just as dense as hps grows and more oily,
My halide and sodium lights grow great product, my cob light was just better and threw off very little heat. The chips have only gotten better and continue to.

Well I guess this ss315 has my attention now. I plan on doing 3 to 4 plants in a 3x3 tent. How will it do in there, also how is the heat with the ss316. A big appeal for me with leds is the temp management.

From a complete led guy the 315cmh seems to be a really nice set up. Seems to be better on heat than hps. I would still say the timber vero kit I recommend earlier, but the cmh is a quality light. I am partial to led though.

My timber kit (4cob 300w) is not super efficient and at full power my tent is only ~7 degrees hotter than room temp. If your airflow and venting is fine heat gain is very minimal. Turned down to 200w I think I was only 2-3 degrees hotter in the tent.

My ss315 ran cooler than my old tasty led in my 3x3.

241w of COBs in a 4x2. Check out the early purpling. Only a little over two weeks in flower. If this doesn't convince you that COB is worth the investment, nothing will.

My room doesn't really get much hotter, using 3 separate Tasty T1 fixtures (two T1-2100s and a T1-V196.). Like, it's pretty negligible.

So how do the vero29 v7 against the top bin cree cxb3590. Do Cree benefit the plants anymore then the vero?

The Cree cost you a tiny bit more to run and they cost you more to buy. Other than that, basically nothing is different.

Probably the best value for your money without having to go DIY.

The Seventh Gen Veros put out about 100 more PPFD if you get the 90CRI 3500k emitters.

Timber, Northern, and Tasty are the best options at the moment, in my opinion.

I have a Northern Grow Lights Photon 180 and it is working very well. Impressed with even light coverage really will handle a 2'x21/2' area at 195 watts at wall. Any of those three is a reasonable choice, not like a person going to Mars or something.
