Wow, I had to get the tape out and measure the girls this morning. They grew an inch last nite. lol amazing. Even the lil indica gained an inch. Now I see why folks want to overnut. hehe.

Just lightly misted the gals with water only and let em be today. My ph up and down solutions arrived today, but my calibration fluid has not. bleh still no idea of my phs.

The clones may be dying. bleh. I thought for a while they might pull thru, but today they look really sad. I will let them air out some more today and hope for the best. I will try a heating pad tonite if I can get my hands on one.

Probably new pix tomm.

I certainly will, and I hope its good too haha. I may have waited a bit too long to flower the wonder woman, she was 18" when I switched the timer and bulb. if the smoke is top notch I think i'll just do 3-4 of them next grow to stock up on smoke. then go back to the slower smaller indica and widow. This is the penalty of being a noob, and tryin to do three diff types on my first grow :) more is not always better. I think I could have flowered the wonder woman bout 2 weeks ago. I could have been closer to smoking . But I waited for the others to get bigger.

think my going to top my wonder woman on Friday did u top urs?? think am going 2 top them twice and see what happens lol
hopefully get about 1 and a half - 2 a plant that way

No sir, I didnt do much trimming or top or lst or anything. This was my first grow, and all I wanted was something to smoke at the end lol. I plan to try a bit more advanced grow with the next batch.

I'll be posting todays pix in a bit. and honestly if you look at the wonder woman shes gonna have what looks to my noob arse like lots of bud sites. I guess if u get more up top tho, they will be the bigger buds. I have much to learn still hehe.

Ok todays update.

The ladies look good again. No huge growth last nite but a lil. They were debateable in pot weight for a watering.. after some deliberation, I watered the indica and the wonder woman cause they were dry more than two nuckles deep and rather light. Will do the widow tomm.

The poor clones are still looking sad. I put some heat under the box last nite got it up to about 78 where the cups are. Fraid it may be too late. I am hoping this weekend I'll have a few fresh cloneable branches on the bottom of the girls. Have to ask if they can be cloned a week into flowering without messin them up to badly.

Heres the pix. left to right, Indica Aurora, White Widow, Wonder Woman.

lookin good man, i water depending on weight of the pot. its easier than eyeing it to me. so start lifting the pots and feel before you water and after then u should get a good feel for it. another thing is you can take cuttings after you flower. a few weeks in easily. ive seen it done after that even. so your good. rooting hormone is pretty cheap. and if u really wanted cuttings id use rapid rooters. very easy to use. they come in little kits at hydro stores. can get a tray and a humid dome. then u can just by rapid rooter refills.

btw, i wouldnt top for at least a few grows. it will make your life easier if you go simple with everything. u chose a simple nute company(from what ive heard). but 1 question. why didnt you get the fox farm flowering solubles. instead of overdrive i think you said. i mixed nutes my first grow. didnt turn out to good. so idk but its not to late to go pick those up. check out my grow. you make get a few pointers on how to make your life easier. but good job man your doing good.

Cool, thanks man and welcome to the grow :) Feel free to visit often!

Im gettin better at the weight of the pot judging.. but it keeps changing a bit as the plant grows hehe.

I ordered some root gel today, when it gets here i'll make some new clones. I have a humidity dome just none of the rapid rooter things. I'll be using just some light warr in a cup. Ive spent all I can afford to on this set up for a while, so I gotta try my best to make do with what I already have. It will be nice to save what I spend on smoke and invest that in better growing equipt.:blsmoke:

On the nutes question, I didnt really know much when I ordered all my stuff. I got a dirty dozen soil starter pack at htg supply.. basicly its all the stuff for 12 plants. it came with the fox farms nutes and the overdrive.
Those fox farms things you mention, I think the three pack is near 80 bux.. is the overdrive stuff not a good thing for the budding?

Wonder Woman is looking real Good Waggs!

Yeah bud keep an eye on that PH level. I would say watching your PH is the MOST important thing you can do. You can buy all the best nutes, big bloom this and that and if your PH is bad it won't matter.

When I started my first grow I had very high PH water from my house. It didn't really set in until about the 4th or 5th week, everything went haywire. I went down and got a cheap PH test kit and my levels were almost past the toxic level. Root growth will cause your PH to rise so if you get a handle on it early you will be good to go. Wasn't sure what you have for PH kit. If you need to raise or lower PH level you can just use Vinegar to lower it and Baking soda to raise it. I use 2 teaspoons of vinegar to every gallon and 3 teaspoons if I am adding nutes.

Good looking grow Waggs! Good Luck!

Thanks for stoppin in.

I got a milwaukee ph600 digital tester, and I got the hydroponic ph up and down solutions. that stuff just came in this week, so now I will be able to monitor and fix any problems along the PH lines I hope. Downside is the calibration fluid isnt here yet lol, hope it shows up tomm so I can see what they are sitting at.

Thanks for the advice, its appreciated!

if you just CHECK your ph i really doubt you run into a problem. obviously you will have a problem if your not adjusting your ph. lol. waggs thats 1 thing i wouldnt worry about. if you got the nutes in a kit im sure htg thought about what they were doing. i would of just figured they would sell you the whole fox farm kit instead of mixing it. know what i mean? but i wouldnt worry then. should be just fine. my hydro store gave me the trio sample for free. idk why but it was nice. cause like u said the ff soluble trio is like 70 buck. btw u dont need the calibration stuff. that i know of. the ph600 comes pre calibrated. thats what i use and i didnt have to anyway. keep up the good work bro.

Thanks,

You were right. I got my calibration fluid finally. turns out after I actually got it calibrated. my tap water was 7.2 and after mixed with the nutes it was 6.4.

That leads kinda to todays update.. lol

Preciate the advice btw. Now to figure out whats wrong with my widow.

Todays update.

Sick widow. gettin worse. Problem is not PH. Gave the Indica and the Wonder Woman a feeding of 2 tsp/gal grow big for veg nutes, and 2 tsp/gal of tiger bloom to get them used to it gradually. Run off PH was 6.3 and 6.4.

Cloning gel will be here monday. Holding till then to make the last clones.

Now to the problem. The White Widows fan leaves are burning up, or suffering from a lack of something I dont know for sure. Putting up some pix of her here, and will post in the sick plant section. Notice the crazy leaves at the top in the last picture. whats up with that?

I gave her some Vegs nutes only today.. Big grow at 2tsp/gal but just a light feed, bout 300ml. Her runoff ph was 6.4.

Scarry to watch your plant go downhill and not know what to do about it.

Hey Waggs!

Bro that looks like Nute burn to me or you have it to close to the light. If lights are close back them off a bit, STOP the nutes! Give it straight water for a few and let it get real dry. It also looks like an original fan. Lower foliage will die off it's normal. Just leave it until it goes total yellow. When its dead then snip it. leaving a nub of stem left. The younger leaves and fans on the plant look real healthy so it could just be older foliage dying off!

Thanks Mr. Leafy.

May well be nute burn. Its not just on the lower fan leaves its been slowly working its way up. Not light burn tho, the wonder woman I have is a couple inches taller and is the closest to the light. She has no light burns nor nute burn. Guess the widow is just a lil more sensitive. Think I should flush or just no nutes for a while?

Preciate the advice!

This is great for a first grow, man. Good job and I look forward to following this. I'm waiting on some Wonder Woman and White Widow seeds (among others) as we speak. I'll soon be starting up what will be my first grow in about five years. It will, however, be my first time growing hydro.

I can't wait to see how your Wonder Woman and White Widow turn out.

Thanks for stoppin by Stickman.

Im having fun, but stressed by the widow atm. The wonder woman seems to be a great easy to grow plant. but shes taking over my tent lol. Shes huge compared to the widow and the indica. I measured her today shes at 24" but shes sneaking up on that in width at the bottom too lol.

Stop by and let me know when u start your grow. I'd like to follow a new hydro grow if you do a journal. Maybe I can learn some things ;)

Todays Update.

Widow still looking pretty sorry. Cupping leaves, more burn. Discussing it in the sick plant forum.

The Wonder Woman and the Indica are looking good. I took em out, they were a bit heavy still for a watering, so I gave them a foilar misting of grow big and big bloom. Since I dont see any buds forming yet I figured this wouldnt hurt. I left the widow alone till I figure out what her problem is. Her pots not light either.

The Wonder woman is now 24" tall and consuming a lot of space in the tent heh live and learn. The Lil indica is finally 12" :) go lil lady!

I think two of the clones might pull thru. Im pretty sure the other two are toast.

Hope to see my cloning gel tomm, so I can make some new ones. I hope to take 1-2 clones from the bottom of each plant before they get much further into flowering.

Few pix i'll toss up. Pix are, wonder woman, the indica aurora after misting, the sick widow, the clones, and one of all 3 as I was gettin them out to mist today.

Bout it for now. Bong time! bongsmilie

Todays Update.

Flushed the Widow last nite. Still more burn or whatever it is showing today than yesterday.

Watered the indica and the wonder woman with 6.5 ph water only.

Ran some new wiring and a couple new outlets to the grow area.

Cloning gel did not show up today. Maybe tomm for the new batch of clones.

Bong time!
