Hi folks, I thought i'd do a lil writeup of what ive done in the last 6 weeks.

First off I got some seeds from nirvana-shop. I got feminized indica aurora, white widow, and wonder woman.

Then I called htg supply and got a grow tent, some fox farms ocean forest soil, light warrior soil, grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom, as well as overdrive, for nutrients. I also got a large bag of perlite from hmm I forget the company lol.

I purchased a 4x4x6 foot grow tent, 4 inch intake, 6 inch exhaust fans. 400 watt digital ballast light with mh and hps bulbs. Lighting Timer, Grow bags and a humidity dome.

Also picked up a thermometer/humidity meter.

Since this is a basement grow, and the normal temp is 65 year round , I built a wooden platform to elevate the tent off the cold concrete. Built a couple tables to hold my stuff, will post pix.

Next post will include the journal ive kept day to day for the past 6ish weeks in my grow. Then will post weekly updates till im done.

Pls feel free to offer any advice or critique as I only know what Ive read lol.

Thanks

Waggs

Week 1:

I got my seeds. Got some dixie cups, and filled em half way with room temp water. Dropped one seed in each cup (I used sterilized tweezers to handle my seeds I never touched them) , covered them and went to bed. The next morning the seeds had sunk, so I planted them in dixie cups (4 slots cut in the bottom for drainage) with a mix of light warr and ocean forest soil, bout 50 50. Watered them till the cups were draining from the holes I had made and then put them in the humidity dome. Sprayed the dome inside so it was nice and wet. Put them under 3 CFL bulbs about 2 inches above the dome.

Next two days I only sprayed the dome inside to keep it moist.

Day 3 The indica aurora sprouted. Misted the dome.

Day 4 Watered the non sprouted white widow and wonder woman seeds in thier cups, Transplanted the indica to a 3 gallon grow bag with a mix of 60 ocean forest , 10 perlite, and 30 light warr soil. Watered it but I later found out I didnt water it enuff.. next time I will be sure water flows from the bag holes on the first watering ;) Put the indica in the tent and set up the 400 w MH light to 18/6 on my timer.

Day 5 No sprout from widow or wonder woman. Sprayed dome again.

Day 6 Sprayed dome, Watered Indica in the tent again. No nuts, just water.

Day 7 White widow breaks the dirt in the cup. nothing from the wonder woman, sank another wonder woman seed in a cup of water. Sprayed Dome.

Week 2

Day 8 Second wonder woman seed sank, no growth apparent still from first. Moved the white widow to a 3 gall grow bag and watered it well, put in tent. Second wonder woman seed moved to dixie cup.

Day 9 Indica showing new growth. Sprayed dome, No growth from first wonder woman seed. Or second of course cause it was planted yesterday.

Day 10 sprayed the leaves of the two in the tent bout an hour before the lights came on. Sprayed dome. Watered seeds in dome.

Day 11 Second wonder woman seed showing growth, first one never grew. Watered indica and widow in tent, sprayed dome.

Day 12 moved wonder woman to grow bag and put in tent. Sprayed all the leaves 1 hr before lights. Yay the dome is retired for now. all are in the tent minus the failed wonder woman seed which I tossed.

Day 13 Gave the indica a foilar feeding of grow big at 1/2 tsp per gallon 1 hr before lights. gave it also 250ml of same strenght grow big in the soil.

Day 14 left them alone.

Week 3

Pretty non exciting week, I sprayed the leaves in the mornings giving grow big every other morning, watered them when they felt dry. Gave them a 1tsp/gal feeding of grow big.

Week 4

Same rather boring week. Gave them a heavy feeding of grow big and big bloom mix in accordance with the fox farm feeding chart. They look good.

Week 5

Lot of growth going on finally im excited. they seem to need water more often now. another feeding of the grow big and big bloom and morning sprays of water, then grow big, then big bloom on alternating days.

Week 6 Decided to try one clone of each plant. That was this morning. I have them all in dixie cups with light warr soil and watered. I put them in the humidity dome and stuck them in the tent with some extra cFLs over the dome.

This is where i need help lol, should the clone attempts be in a humidity dome? im clueless what to do from there on lol so doing my best. More updates coming as things happen.

The plant pictures I posted were taken yesterday. If ya see anythign wrong pls let me know.

Also learned today, that if I raise up my intake vent to the lvl of the top of my plants, they can be closer to the light :) nice tip thanks to these forums!

Thanks

Ok so I watered yesterday, and my wonder woman still looks kinda droopy today. Stuck finger in the soil was dry about 3 inches down. So im confused.. I water again and the soil took almost half a gallon before it started to come out the holes in the bottom of the bag. Is she really using up that much water?

Im confused and dont wanna mess this up.

Will update again in the morning.

Wonder woman has curled down leaf tips, no idea why. The grow bags are heavy, dont think they need water. Indica and the Widow look ok to me.

I think the clones I tried to make, are too small and I did them way wrong. I will redo when my plants are a few days bigger.

help, advice always welcome.

Next update when I figure out whats up with the leaves or something cool happens lol

Fantastic so far!

How do you feel about HTG? Did you get the lights from them?

The quality of what I got from them seens to be fine, They got my order right, It got here in a weekish , was a big order. The shipping I thought was a bit high. Other than that good service imho. Everything I got besides the seeds and the perlite came from HTG.

Misted dome and clones, Fed the three ladies with 100ml of grow big and 100 ml of big bloom, (after mixed with water of course at half the bottle listed strength) misted leaves w/water.

Trimmed off a few lower leaves on the widow. Ones gettin little to no light and starting to yellow. Rest looks ok I think, cept the tips still dippin on the wonder woman.

Pix later today or tomm since not much change since last ones hehe.

I forgot to mention that every morning when I go mist my girls I open up the front of the tent on both sides, I play em some classic rock, and I hang out with em while the misting dries, I raise the light and leave the tent open so any excess moisture can dry off my tent floor and walls and the plants from the misting. I have my excercise machine down there, and I put it to use till its all dry so I can lower the light and button it up. Makes a nice morning routine. Insert my bong hits at various points. lol

Checked in on the ladies this morning, they were looking fine to me.

Sprayed dome and clones, they arent dead yet lol.

Misted the three ladies w/water. The pots felt close to watering time.. Tonight or tomm most likely.
Still no clue why the indica is so much smaller than the others.

New pix attached. Aired it out, Buttoned em up. Grow ladies grow! lol

Did you use any rooting gel or powder for your clones? You should clip the tips of the leafs for cloning, it helps stimulate rooting, instead of foilar growth.
It usually takes me a good 2 weeks to get good root system happening on my clones, sometimes even long depends on what strains.
Nice looking grow though man +rep

Thanks, Thats a good idea, i'll trim up the lil guys tomm if they are still alive. I never planned on making clones, but I was trimmin up the plants and decided to try some. No I didnt have any root gel or paste. I just trimmed em up washed them with room temp aged water and gently put them in some ff light warr and see if I get lucky. Next grow I'll be prepared , or if I end up waiting a couple more weeks to flower, i'll likely try some serious attempts.

Preciate the tips and stoppin by.

Watered the 3 girls, The widow and the wonder woman got 1/2 gal each, and the indica got 32oz. Just water today no nuts. Sprayed them down good with water also since I had them out for watering.

The water I use is just my tap water, comes in thru a sediment filter, then thru a water softener, then thru a charcol filter before it gets to my main water manifold for the house. So I assume its good water, I just put it in jugs and let them sit for a day or two.

Ive slacked and just ordered two diff ph testers last nite. Soon as they arrive i'll be checking the ph of my water and soils hehe. been lucky so far I think.

The clones still look alive. Trimmed thier leaves. misted dome and misted them.

Airing things out and zippin em back up shortly.

Ok so the Wonder Woman is surpassing the others in height good bit now. Im going to read up on tying it to the side or something tonight. I put the indica on a lil bucket to get it closer to the light.

Todays update is late. lol I was busy building. Misted the ladies with grow big this morning, misted clones and dome with water. I think the clones may actually be growing. updated pix on them when im sure.

So I was thinking today I have a big roll of mylar from when I got all my grow room supplies to start all this.. what can I do with it. Well, I built a veg room sorta. Need to still make the vent holes and the door but its pretty cool I think. Posted some pix of the new setup. Had to redo the whole grow area hehe.

Im beat, thats it for this update.

Fed the ladies this morning with grow big big bloom mix. 2 tsp/gal on the grow big, and 2 tbsp/gal on the big bloom. Widow and wonder woman got 1/2 gal each . Indica got 1/4 gal.

Misted the dome for the clones, and watered the cups. I swear they are all growing. I think they gonna live still hehe.

Got my PH tester today, says my water is 7.8.. not good eh? I didnt get any calibration fluid with the thing, so I dont know if its off or not. Nor did I get any instructions.. Was a bad buy on my part.

All looks good tho for today.

I think i'll switch them to flowering cycle and change to hps bulb on sunday.

Misted the ladies this morning with grow big. 1tsp / gal. Light mist only.

I think the clones leaves are picked up. Took some pix of them today. What do ya think? Look like they are alive?

Ordered some ph calib fluid, ph up/ down stuff, and another timer for the veg cab. Once that timers here I will switch to hps bulb in the tent and start flowering.

Heres todays Pix of the girls and the clones.

So with the time change I had an extra hour today when I awoke before it was time to mist the ladies. I took this time to change out my MH bulb and put in the HPS. Set the timer for 12/12 and let the flowering begin :) Pretty strange the color of this light compared to the old one hehe.

Misted the ladies with big bloom 1tbs/gal. Took the dome off and will let the clones get some air and direct light for a few hrs. no mist for them till later.

I have a lil concern with the veg box next to the tent, about the light that is gonna leak in around the exhaust fan at the top of the tent.

Have to post about that and see what people think. edit.. fixed the light problem by building a lil reflective shield out of foam board. I'll put a pix of that up next time I take some pix.

Probably a small update this evening to
come.

nothing else exciting today.. lol first day of flowering just kinda thought would be more fun. ah well tomm morning they get thier first feed of big bloom and tiger bloom mixed. so thats a lil bit exciting.

Fed the ladies big bloom and tiger bloom mix. 1tsp gal tiger bloom 1tbsp gal of big bloom.

The clones look like they are struggling at this point. I noticed some green crap on top of the soil in thier cups.. decided to take em out of the dome, and put a lil fan on em and let them dry out some.

The big ladies look good again today. Got some new pix taken so will post em.
