Ok so this might be a long one but it should catch me back up to date on the soil grow.

Sat 17th..

I sank 4 new seeds (nirvana freebies) in tap water.

Gave the 3 clones thier first watering in thier 3 gallon grow bags.

Watered the unknown soldier.

Topped the indica clone.

Fed the big wonder woman, widow, and indica with GB, BB, and tiger bloom 1/2 str.

Sunday the 18th.

Seeds all sank, put them in cups of light warr soil and in the dome along with the clone I am tryin to make from the top I took.

Monday the 19th.. My 60-100x pocket microscope and my tds/ppm meter came in today. I fed the three big girls with 1/2 str overdrive today. Sprayed dome and clones. Veg box sure lookin full lol. Work is progressing on the new flower room. Lots of pix to come at the end of this.

Tuesday the 20th.

Big girls pots are still heavy from yesterday.. nothin for them today. Same with the big clones. Sprayed the dome, made and painted/stained the door for the new room. Still letting paint dry in there and it still stinks lol.

So heres lots of pix of the plants, the veg box, the new room etc thats under construction.

Today was a long day.. I ended up harvesting the wonder woman. Did this because she hermied on me btw. I pulled a small piece of a leaf from her top cola and put it under my lil microscope and the trichs were about 50% cloudy so I figure its not a total loss. Shes hanging to dry in the new flowering room. Some pix of the harvest.

I transplanted the unknown soldier to a 32 oz cup today and hope to leave it there till it shows sex. Time will tell if I have to move it to a bigger pot first. Pix below.

Fed the Aurora Indica and the White Widow today with grow big, big bloom, and
overdrive all phed at 6.5 and total of 550ppm.

Finished the door to the new flowering room. Hmm I upload photos in a certain order and they come out scrambled.. sorry for that :( not sure why.. didnt used to do that.

Bout it.. the harvesting took a long time cause I was slow and clueless lol. Tommorrow I hope to try my hand at making some hash. I also couldnt resist the urge to try and quick dry a bud in the oven.. lol we'll see how that smokes in a bit.. it feels a bit crispy.. I have it wrapped in a paper towel in the fridge atm to finish it off.

Ok so I put my oven to 135 and wrapped a bud in paper towel and sat it on the oven rack for about 30 min.. then stuck it in the fridge for about 15 min.. it was crisp but not dried out too bad but cut up nicely with scissors. bout the same consistency of the 425 dollar an oz stuff I have been having to buy while waiting on this grow. :( It smells fruity.. sweet.. it tastes fruity thru the bong.. ive had 4 hits.. and I have to say im more buzzed than on the stuff I buy haha.. very nice.. im going to enjoy this when its cured properly.. dont do the oven thing.. you could start a fire etc... was just telling ya how I did this cause I was in a hurry to test one bud. :)

Todays update.

Watered the three big soil clones. You can see the new growth beginning where the two of them that got topped were cut. Watered the sprouts. Dug up the seed that had not sprouted.. it had a lil bitty root coming out so I reburied it.. we'll see. Its one of the freebies. Nothin for the two remaining big ladies in the tent.. they are lookin a bit sorry too.. I starved them.. now that I have a ppm meter I was way underfeeding them. sux bein a noob.

Planted 5 more seeds. 2 more freebies, and one each of a nirvana fem white widow, wonder woman, and aurora indica. Figure give the wonder woman a chance before giving up on the strain.. maybe i'll do better with the three fresh from seed in soil since I have a grow under my belt mostly :)

Veg box is packed.. lol The wonder woman clone is wierd too.. it puts its leaf tips right on the lights for about an hour every day then they come back down lol wierd thing.

I didnt get around to making any hash. I stuck all the trimmings in the freezer in the meantime..

If the pix go up in order they will match the updates of the day.. if not.. heres some pix anyway :)

Im having to fast dry some of the wonder woman so I have something to smoke.. im not buying any more smoke with stuff hanging around now haha. building a dry box tonite or tomm out of a rubbermade tub thing to see if I can get a bit of it ready faster. I still need to try my hand at making some hash.. maybe yet tonite. Progress stopped on the new flower room cause the drying plants hanging in there atm. Will update this evening with a few pix I think.

Updates lol im late I know.

4/27 4 new seedlings sprouted :)

4/28 watered the big indica and the soil clones.

4/29 watered the unknown soldier. Foilar fed her with grow big.

4/30 watered the seedlings. Trimmed up the last of the hanging branches of the wonder woman and put her in curing jars. This frees up the new flowering room for me to get back to work on.

5/1 Today :) Fed the flowering white widow and aurora indica with big bloom, tiger bloom and overdrive at 800 ppm. 6.5 ph. Will probably be thier last feeding. Fed the unknown soldier and the indica and widow soil clones with big bloom.

I have a feeling it will all be gone before any of it is actually cured haha. in a few months I should get ahead on smoke and have some sit around long enough to actually cure I hope. Its not that bad tho at least its properly dried. Good buzz, sticky, smells a bit fruity.

Updates.

5/2 and 5/3 work progresses on the new flowering room. The soil plants didnt require any attention for 2 days :) that was kinda nice. I made some hash. Lol it was good, but my crude method only gave me enuff for a couple hits. I'll try again with the next two plants I harvest.

5/4 Watered the seedlings and the unknown soldier. Watered the big aurora indica with phed water only. Moved the hps and the tents platform into the new flower room. I need to paint the platform, but that can wait a bit. Set up the old grow tent as a dark room for a few days to give me time to get all the light proofing touched up in the flowering room. Also lets me keep the veging plants in there under the big lights longer.

5/5 another nice lazy hands off day :) everythings looking good.. heres some pix. 7 weeks finished in flowering for the widow and indica

Update Time

5/6

I bought some catnip seeds for my kitties :) Planted the seeds today and put them in the dome along with the lil clone that was in there. Fed the unknown soldier with 1/4 str grow big.

5/7

transplanted the wonder woman clone from a few weeks back to a lil bigger pot.
Watered some seedlings. Topped and trimmed up the big wonder woman clone thats starting to reveg. Its been in its 3 gal bag for 1 month lol.

5/8

I forgot to mention that I bought some miracle grow to do the catnip in and not waste my fox farms stuff thats not available here locally. Big mistake.. Two days after planting in it I have lil bugs in my humidity dome. So I freak out when I find out they also got out of it and were on the unknown soldier plant below the dome. I think they were spider mites. hard to tell I took the dome outside and the unknown soldier, emptied the veg box.. sprayed it all down with neem oil.. washed the dome and tray in the dishwasher.. I wont be bringing any of those plants back in my house.

5/9

still freaking out and watching everything closely for more bugs ugh..watered the big soil clones in the 3 gal bags. Fed the big flowering widow grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom, and overdrive at 1000 ppm. This will be her last feeding. Transplanted some more of the seedlings to bigger pots. No more bugs are found so far.

5/10

The big indica and white widow complete 8 weeks of flowering.. 2 weeksish to go.. indica is all about 90% cloudy but very little amber.. widow is about 50/50 clear/cloudy. Water only for them till chop chop. I cut the two lowest branches off the unknown soldier after I found no bugs on it. Cloned them and put them in the dome. I gave the unknown soldier to my friend and warned him about the bugs. lol. Transplanted the last of the seedlings. built a new light for the far side of the flowering room. Have some side lighting via homemade cfls now to go with the 400 hps. 150 watts on the far side and 100 wats on the near. mix of 2700 and 6500 bulbs. Planted some new catnip seeds in my light warr soil.. lol no more bs soils in my grow area.

5/11 water the big widow clone in the 3 gal bag. Lazy day otherwise no bugs in evidence.. all looking ok again.. Heres lots of pix if I can get them to upload tonite.. bleh goin real slow.. Enjoy! im going to edit after I do the reply so I dont lose all this text.. Pix are comin lol More after while I just cant get them to upload atm.. taking forever sorry..

I just read through your journal very impressive and inspiring thank you for stopping by my little journal/thread. You've got green hands! The oven part had me DOTFL(Dying On The Floor Laughing) $425 for a oz is outrages :oin my region I get mad if it's anything over $260 unless it's a known drought then $325 is the max:wall: which is usually right around this time. My cat a sneaky little bitch:shock: I always find little hairs around where my plants are but, no bites yet she like the other house plants though. Love the pictures to you seem very organized.

Thanks :) I keep learning and trying new things almost daily. After a few months it gets to be like work hehe. Sure glad not to be paying that high price anymore for my smoke. The oven thing did work good for a quick dry haha. When I tested my indica and widow a couple days ago I took a lil nug off each and this time I fired up the oven to 130 and then shut it off.. and hung them from a clothes pin from the center baking rack :) haha again I dont really recommend this. As far as organized, I just have a calendar there in the grow area, and I make a note of anything of importance in it when I do it. Then I can look thru it when I post my updates here. I dont really have a schedule as far as the plants go. I just go down in the morning when the lights come on, I look around check the condition of them all, and the weight of the pots and go from there. And once my catnip plants start growing my cats might stop snooping around my other plants haha.

Cant wait to try some DWC soon and see if it cuts the time I spend there down some :)
