This is what is destroying our country

An organization of actual people with a shared interest versus a billionaire creating fake astroturf organizations so he can buy a politician who will enrich him.
Yeah sure it's the same thing to a fucking retard like you
Oh please. The XL pipeline is on hold because an environmental billionaire was threatening to withhold donations to the democratic party. Pull your head out of your ass and see both parties are just as entrenched in the bullshit.

The federal government is supposed to have less power than the states
then explain the supremacy clause, dummy.

If you remake the tax code to a simple flat tax for business and citizens, remove all the loopholes and additional bullshit then congress would have less power to manipulate business.
a regressive tax that hurts the poor and benefits the rich will fix nothing. it will only make it worse.

Anyone bitching about people paying Capital Gains are just jealous that they aren't in a position to do the same.

Capital gains involves the profits from risking capital.

The distinction is that to pay income tax you risk nothing yet to be in the capital gains department you have to actually run the risk of losing money.

or they married into it, inherited it, or stole it.

but keep on keeping on with your GOP talking ppints and non-reality based myths.
You married into it according to yourself and you are not exactly a republican... So, what is your excuse?

I wouldnt be where i am at without my wife either. Too bad you havent enjoyed any productive relationships

I'm married with children and I have a career. I have worked all my life and could easily support myself and my child if anything were the ever happen to my husband.

It's funny how none of you ever have a valid argument against me. Other than your made up personal attacks.

Nevertheless, I'd rather see both types of organizations banned from offering political contributions.

There should be only one source of funding, individual United States citizens- the living, bragging kind, not 'corporate persons', and no one should be able to donate more than $100 to any one candidate or party.

Keep it firmly in the realm of everyman, and our politics will change to reflect the new reality.

The Federal Reserve's capacity to print unlimited amounts of currency is the biggest problem and the foundation of all of our other problems
That's silly. Is inflation running amok? Nope.

Clearly, you need to bone up on how the economy actually works. I look forward to your opinions when you've done so.

We need to take the money out of their pockets and have them "earn" their wages rather than have them stick their hands in our pockets.
Unhelpfully vague and nonspecific. I agree with the general sentiment, we need to get to specific causes and remedies.

You skipped over the point that the politicians use the 11,000 pages of IRS code as a place to create legislation for financial favors.

It wasnt my intention to divert the conversation to what is more or less fair in society. It was my intention to show you how legislation and the power to make that legislation gives business the incentive to pad politicians pockets.

By the way, rich people EARNED the money they have. They have already paid tax on it. If someone makes 10* what you do under a flat tax they pay 10* what you do in taxes. I am not sure why that isnt fair.
I have no problem with rich people earning lots of money. My problem is that they've individually and collectively over time bought themselves the 'right' not to pay taxes on it.

This is the result of that;
