what about them exactly? omega gardens have already been mentioned in this thread multiple times along with me stating they are the most productive hands down, as well as discussing engineering of one..

it doesnt only make sence to just move the light(s) vertically but it would be eaiser, like your light mover on the ceiling, moving back and forth, but just up and down on a steal cable pully system. i think any kind of mounting brackets would cast too large of shadows. think you might be able to alter a light mover for a vertical pully system or just may have to fabricate one from scratch, you are a welder right fdd? lets see some plans to help out harmonious flow, it will be a group brain storm :)

i envy your diy skills on the octagon set up. i had to buy mine. too dumb and lazy to figure it out. but i got tons of support from my local hydro store i bought it from. i have a question: i can see that you have four levels and use 2 1000w for light? right? how much did you spend on making the diy total with and with out lights? what did you do to improve on the design?
thanks bud

Im pretty sure I can build a similiar design albeit less flashy omega in my garage.

The problem you run into is that they use a lot of metal with a lot of gucci stuff. Making the price unbelievable.

This thing shouldnt cost more than 1500 to build with everything minus the lights for a good quality setup.

I saw the "octagon" online. 6" bulk pvc is rather cheap, but the fittings are dumb ass expensive, on the order of 50 a piece. I'm currently constructing a pentagon, solvent welding the joints and stacking em up for ebb flo. The beauty about this vert system is you can really do any thing with it. Aero, RDWC etc. Ill post pics of my pentago, that picture is good for judgement. ive got 60 inch cool tubes with 600s. First row needs to be above the res, so the top of the tube will sit at 7 foot. line the inside with netting and youve got walls of green, and no popcorn.
