AZ just want your opinion, I transplanted some seedlings into HB's without a hitch, I have 2 in a DWC they just started showing sex so the 2 females I have I would like to transplant them to HB's easier to maintain and uses alot less space, do you see any problems with doing the transplant, will it stress them an make them hermie, my seedling transplants went greatno setback at what do you think???

Azgrow, just wanted to say thanks for pushing me over the edge

About 10 days ago was reading this thread after reading others about Hempys, and said screw it, let me see what the hype is about.

Did a quick ghetto hempy with an extra clone I had in 16oz cup with soil.
Used a 2-liter soda bottle, put a hole up form the bottom, filled with Perlite, and placed the clone in with a good bit of soil still attached to rootball.

Wasn't hoping for much honestly, but this damn thing has doubled in size in since the move.

I'm hooked and hope to put together some nice hempys over time.

So, just wanted to let you know your thread has inspired another :blsmoke:

Peace - OGH

thanks I did it hopefully it goes ok, I am still amazed at the results and ease of this method.... I posted this in my journal but wanted to show all the HG peeps and anyone that is considering a transition from soil or other hydro these are 2 pictures of the same plant one is before being in a HB ( it was in an aerogarden) the other is only 6 days after I am a new grower, but so far I have tried soil, diy dwc, and the aerogarden, andthis is the easiest method so far, and the growth rate is amazing, oh yea I know you hate it AZ but this is growth under cfls......

i am trying to be more understanding when it comes to cfls...imo i will not use them for anything other then lights for seedlings an clones an even then i dont like them....imo hid lighting will pay for itself within 2 harvests just in speed an quantity...cfls can be used as a transition like your waiting on some lights an wanted to get some stuff started..like i said i understand there uses to some just not to me an what i recamend ...peace an grow on az

if I had the space i would go hid would add further simplicity to my operation but maybe after a few harvest......... either way regarless of light the hempy buckets are great and I appreciate you starting this thread,I will continue to update my progress both here and in my journal i am 100% hempy and lovin in, now wtf do I do with all of these air pumps etc....lol

air pumps an such can be used to bubble water you getting ready to use for the plants either normal waterings or mix nutes needs in when feeding...also they make low watt hid in 175 250 an 400....all of these can be contained in relitivley small aeras with proper ventilation...peace az

Im not sure if this is the same. At the bottom the shape is like 4 pizza slices and has a cross inbetween 1 inch deep and about 3/4 across I filled the bottom with coco beads and then used 1/3 vermeculite to 2/3 nuetral soil! this is my mother from clone after 3 weeks under 1 blue LED and a 80watt CFL! I might get another and will take a picture of the inside. Unfortunatley the mother got topped as a clone.

I'm a Noob who just had his first grow go tits up 42 days into bloom because of root rot in a DWC setup. Never again. I figured there had to be a better way. My research came up with Hempy Buckets. Man are these things slick. I currently have 2 plants in 2 gallon buckets of 75% perlite/25 Vermic in a stealth cabinet Scrog. I also moved my 5 Lowryder II girls out of a DWC and transplanted them into Hempys. Transplanting went off without a hitch. The plants don't miss a beat. Anyone need a whole bunch of air pumps, airstones and the other bullshit that goes with a DWC setup? I'm Hempy all the way baby. This is the only way to grow our beloved weed!

Looking good. Looks like you are running 100% perlite. Nice green plants sure look good in that white perlite. Our beloved herb really does well in Mr. Hempy's buckets. What a simple clean system that really produces. Happy Farming.
