no not mean just saying that, while $7 on a little perlite and $8 on 4cups might be cheap... but buying in bulk is cheaper

Hello all,
I have read enough.........I have a clone growing in top soil right now that I wanna switch to hempy tomorrow, I'll use a one gallon container and see what happens.....what do you think Mr AZ and everybody else, I read that I dont even have to wash all the soil off the roots....

lol..call me brother...as for replanting just be careful you dont damage the roots..depending on how much soil it is i would try an brush a lil off..but if its a little amount dont worry about it...an as for 1 single 1gal unless you have others plants going or plan on vegging this plant to a decent height an topping as such imo i would go with a lil bigger container...what kind of light do you plan on using as i only have experience an recomend hid lighting...peace az

the ones you dont like......CFLs.......it's my first grow and I'm trying different things that fit the budget while I'm trying to convince the lady to spend on good lights.....
I have 3 big plants flowering right now and this is a clone from one of them, I'm not trying to make it a huge plant, just to get my feet wet...

its ok an i understand..but trust me the time an effort it takes with cfls imo is not really worth the outcome...an i compleaty understand but trust me once you upgrade even to a mere 250hps...you will be crying about all that time you wasted on them cfls..again this just my opinion....now onto that plant...o she looks purty to...use a 1 gal jug that fine depending in the height of the jug..lets say its 10 inches...you want the hole 2 inches up covered with a screen if the hole is bigenough to let your medium of choice threw...then i would fill up about anout 2-3in then place that clone soil an all strait in then finish burying it....you should end up with most of that stem in the container...now your on your way....what nutes you plan on using...peace az

I went to the dollar store thay had pails that are supposed to be for kids you know for the beach.. about 1 gal size $1each in every color under the rainbow, you may be able to see in my pucture I got the spiderman ones lol not sure where you live but if you want sonic cups go between 2-4 mon-fri in my area its happy hour so all drinks are half price, thebig 44oz is only 1.09

just want to make sure we keep this thread going maybe we can get a subforum eventually, but I am hooked the 4 I took out of my AG and put in the hempy buckets are doing great I will post some pics in my grow and here tomorrow all 4 are showing new growth and its only been 2 days I thought they would be stunted for a day or 2 because of the transplant but they seem to have taken to it very well, I am toping them off with a little water every day actually 1 day water plain nxt day water with nutes etc... figured I will do this for a week or so and then just go every other day, I am gving them just enough water to geta couple drops out of the hole..... does this all sound right AZ??? and man thanks again I am hooked on this method so easy so little to worry about.. a stoner/growers dream

yep sounds like your getting the hang of it...an the only time i see transplant shock in hempy is taking fresh clones from the bubler an putting it into the medium for the first time...other then that this system is real forgiving...peace az

I have never once had to check PPM or pH nor had any problems because of this.

Cons of Hempys Buckets

The plants eat a lot of nutrients, more so than other methods (in my opinion).
The plants need more attention than when utilizing other grow methods (in my opinion).

Ultimatley...
Hempy's take a bit getting used to, but once you have everything in, you will toss your other hydro systems and invest in some buckets. And save your soil for outdoors.

You had me at explosive growth, but now also no fooling with PH or PPM - I'm sold! And I still have about dozen more pages to read in this thread, but I am switching to HBs tomorrow!
