Today's Newly snapped pictures

Also note, watered the un-popped seed today in smart pot. moisture meter said bone dry, on top of it sits right near the fan, gave the dirt 1 cup, or about 12-18 ounces of water. made sure to not over water.

Last of the newly snapped pics!

Incase i forgot to mention, I placed drops of the flowering nutes on the dry soil and lightly misted as i had watered the plant about 2 days before (the big blue mystic, not the babies), so when i water the plant again next week i will water it with straight water and hopefully the nutes on the dirt will be good to go to the plant.

So far the blue mystic has no "frost" probably develop any due to the beat its been out thru..

Im just trying to keep it alive long enough for it to produce something.. anything.. so i can feel like time well spent even though Nirvana replaced the damage seeds... i still want some smoke to show for my effort.

Also the blue mystic is smelling a little. smells kinda like sex.. you know... after you've went a few rounds with the old lady and she's no longer "fresh" but um... "pollenated" lol... Thats a random thought on what this plant smells like to me.

So i got a little energetic and moved the blue mystic so i could snap some pictures.

If anyone knows how to cure whats wrong with the plant feel free to tell me.

Ive tried to flush the soil and re apply a small amount of nutes however all i want to do is keep it up long enough for it to completely finish.

I notice little spots on the plant STILL which means its probably diseased or whatever..

So I woke up this am and i checked and a nirvana bag seed aka potent has finally decided to pop outta the dirt...

I was a tad skeptical as its a "freebie seed" and we know that all dropped seeds dont always pop so i was hoping this one would.

Doesnt look like the first seed that tried to pop in the dirt. lets hope this one lives.

I am still quite weiry of the smart pot as you have to handle it with extreme care. I dont like it when my soil is so dry it slips down the middle so maybe i need to water it a tad more.

Pics INCOMING!

Last three :D I am hoping to have a better turn out this time. All but 1 are auto flower and manual swapping doesnt seem too hard with only one plant :)

Random thoughts for my journal.

I have read a few reports that if you leave your lights on for a constant 20 -24 hours with absolutely no change your plants can start to auto flower in about 20 days.

My plants have been on a strict 20-24 hr constantly light since popped. Havent really stopped 24/0 once they ALL showed thru the dirt. Lets hope for some good results.

It's all good. Everything's perfectly fine :) Even Potent seems happy.

Watered them today. (I love this pump & spray bottle. makes overwatering them difficult now. Let's hope I dont underwater them.)

Side note: I burry stems as I see fit. I try to make sure that the dirt stays around where the baby leafs are until they fall off on their own then the stem is usually fat enough from the fans to make sure the plant can support it self and will only be modified if repotted (not likely as these are all autos aside from potent).

So what i wanted to mention before is that the plants have some sort of yellowing or dryness on the leaves. its only the two Blue mystics or what i think are the blue mystics but we will see. i maybe wrong. the 3 other plants are fine as of current. i tried watering the two that look to be having issue a little more till i actually saw some run off as i may have been under watering them with the new watering system. its only like a leaf or two and maybe bug related im not sure. my main focus is temps, good water, and not overloving / caring too much so i just water, monitor temps and ignore them.

No foods have been given as of yet except to the blue mystic that is flowering and developing lots of white on the buds at least

I gave that one a few drops of b52 on the dirt, a few drops of the canna flowering nutes and 1 drop of super thrive. all dropped on dirt by a dropper then watered with the sprayer until the soil is nice and moist.

I pray i dont start under watering however i think im doing good.

Its a slight adjustment with the lights be on at least 20 hours as the dirt dries completely different I water them every 2.5 days unless i feel they need to be watered in between due to lots of heat. (not normally, i just tend to mist them to drop temps and temps never leave 70-85.

Pics as soon as i take em.

Here are the pictures, as promised.
Added new FFOF to the top of the pots, buried stems a tad better and gave a complete watering. Probably wont water again until friday evening unless necessary before hand.

The WAR on pest is ending, with me as the victor.

AWESOME VICTOR, Indeed!

Good day readers, I'm back with exciting news! Firstly The blue mystic that i originally seeded at the beginning of this thread will complete the flowering stage around may 20th and will probably be ready for harvest soon after. This makes me happy because i was going to kill it with the rest of the failed seeds from the other project. however I will be rewarded for listening to my gf with some nice smelling organic grow. This ill be my first TASTE of "homegrown" and ill know exactly whats in the weed.

But I have to know go into full detail about my struggles.

The bugs: At first i thought they were Gnats, but then i thought they might be RA because i remember seeing at least one if not MANY... sorry i just saw a gnat (flyer) so i had to go put sand over the pot holes (the pictures will explain lol) anywho when i saw that bug on the roots of the dead plant but it was an adult flyer, i remembered it and thought it might be the case.

In any event it turns out they WERE fungus GNATS, born from egg in the MG / SCOTTS soil. They were NOT present in FFOF soil and i dont even feel like FFOF that i have is soil, its more of a compost as its quite wood chip heavy and i dont mind it given the important fact that GNATS do NOT SEEM TO LIKE THIS BATCH OF FFOF as i have heard ppl make claims that even ffof has had gnats. I went out and got a 4 dollar 50 lb bag of "play sand" proceeded to add a half inch of sand to the top of ALL my house plants, neglecting none.

The improvement was instant. After a failed rubbing alcohol misting which only killed off a half of the flyers, i noticed they were still in the pepper plants dirt, i ordered the foliar pack from og bio war but i wanted something to tie me over until it arrived in the post.

The sand was such a life saver, the bug population has went from almost infestation to "a few flyers here and there" and its pretty much only been about 24 hours after the application of sand.

Also i think this building may have a rodent problem (ah yes more pests) because all the good off the radar growing areas have lil buggers trying to body your crops.

I believe the little fucker nipped off one of the leaves of my plant as i woke and asked my gf if she had messed with my plants and she said no, so im like the fuck? and ive read that gnats dont eat live plants as this plant was green good and healthy, so something had to cause this damage and i dont believe it to be anything else other then this furry lil bastard, so i went and found some peppermint oil to burn that lil son of a bitches nose and make him never return to my secluded in the back grow.

SUCCESS!!!!

As of now i have no seen or heard the rat mouse or wtf ever that lil grey fucker was. and im happy!

I remember hearing rustling around in my room via the pipes / heating, however i never realized id be back to fighting a rodent pest problem (had that issue when i lived with my mom)

So heres hoping the issue is fully resolved and all of my pest are gone.

Pics incoming !

I forgot to mention. All of the plants aside from the plant in the smart pot (potent, unknown seed) are flowering and showing sex of female :D

One plant has an odd ball shaped grow which makes me think it might be a hermie, but if its a forced stress hermi and not a genetic hermi then if it makes seeds and its not a genetic hermie then i get free "feminized" seeds So i guess we'll wait and see if it turns out to be hermie, or just a funny looking growth due to this being my first 24 hr grow and they obviously grow differently under this light conditioning. only 20 days of this for an auto flower and the white hairs are adding up fast. It took my other autoflower OVER 3 WEEKS to achieve this and 2 of these seeds are blue mystic, 2 of these seeds are short rider yet they ALL flowered the same week.

Sand seems to have done the trick.

Now to answer the question of does giving plants a down period help.

I am now lowering my light schedules from 24/0 to 20/4 given the fact that i personally believe the plants are in need of some much needed rest.

My theory = Over worked workers dont produce optional given the stress of being worked. Give them a good break and chance to recoup and you will notice a difference.

Theory applied @ 4:46 (my clock)

Misted them nicely (normal water, no nutes). Shut off all the lights closed the door, LEFT THE FAN ON.

Lights will come back on @ 8:50 my clock (that 4 mins is a snooze factor, one light will turn on, the other takes about 5 mins to fully reach its max lighting)

Also in about 3 days i will remove the top layer of sand. Ive read the sand doesnt hurt them, but If the bugs are gone its not necessary and OG BIOWAR should be starting to take effect and killing any extra bugs. that may come about later. The sand was meant as a temp (get these fuckers outta here asap card) and now i feel like they have been evicted properly i want my normal medium look back lol.

Also ordered the root pack from OGBIOWAR.

I will be prepared for the next grow session.

I must have 100% green plants from start to last flower where yellowing is unavoidably natural.

:D bongsmilie:bigjoint::joint: TIME!
