Ah yes jack herer. I'm sure I've smoked it, or oil made from it - unknowingly - but this strain is a classic and still widely available.

I'm sure you all remember the paraquat scare, in the late 70's, or was that an urban myth? Whether it was true or not, it probably led to the wider availability of tai sticks, and blond hash about the same time period (paraquat).

It's hard to believe that was almost 30 years ago.

Haze & Blueberry still as popular as ever, bred in the late 70's (I grew a cross of the two called Blaze, it's great !)

Famboi ! I can't send you a pm because you have it disabled.
Tell me more please on the growing habits of BLAZE?
I'm very interested in knowing more about her.
Thanks
Tom

I've been of the earth for 3 decades,
I know some of you on here have forgotten more than I know :) But I know a lot of people from all walks of life and age groups and I've met a few hippie growers in L.A. when I was younger, they introduced me to Chocolate Thai and what they called the original Haze... man these 2 strains we're amazing! and very potent! mind you this was in the 90s when Cronic was all everyone in L.A. smoked. By the way for those that didn't grow up in Los Angeles The Cronic was being smoked all around the city waaaaaay before Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg started making songs and albums about it.
I love my hybrids but I'll always hold the old school strains in high reguard :weed:

i am right with you on that man. i grow up in nc. if you know the right ppl you could get the chocolate Thia and the all the golds and whatnot's. so even some of younger smokers know about the old smoke. some of us would like it to come back to have as everyday smoke again.

..most if not all of those were popular and then vanished well before most members of this site and other similar sites were nothing more than the gleam in the eye of two strangers at a Motley Crew concert.
Nicely put. I'm partial to Thai stick myself, though it didn't make it up to Alaska often.

.. get off your high horse, you cant compare shit in the 60s 70s to shit we got now. dont even try.

not to mention how much we've learned about growing it, and how to improve it... weed is only going to get more and more potent
I'm not as old as Brick top (he's probably got 10 years on me) but there was plenty of 1 hit weed in the 70s. I remember tripping like crazy on some first rate Matanuska TF in the late 70s. What a great night that was.
