My small garden setup

I strategically placed my plants in certain spots next to certain plants so they have the best growth potential. I'm Using the old Native American wisdom of companion plants. I will also put dividers in the raised beds to not make my plants competitive. Those will be scrog nets above too for the tomatoes. Here it is:
My idea with the box on the right side is that the basil will balance out the competition between the two. I'm just experimenting. Btw this is outdoor.

I've found companion planting has made my gardening easier. I've used the "3 sisters" method every year when i grew corn. You plant corn, beans and squashes together, the beans put Nitrogen back into the soil which the corn and squash use, the corn provides stalks for the beans to grow on, and the squash acts as a ground cover/mulch. In a 4'x4' plot I would usually have a doz corn, a doz beans and 2 squashes

Yea I read an article on that. Its so fascinating to observe plants and their relationships with other plants. We really oughta start following the old native American way and we would have a lot less problems environmentally speaking.
