The photo ladies seem to be content. I've backed off their food a little to see how they react. Res dump day and mounting the new lamp. Busy evening.

This is a mixed bean from 420fastbuds. I swear there was only one bean in there. How the hell I get two plants in one seed????? I've never had this happen..lol. 5 beans, 6 plants??? I'm scratching my head here.

Ya know after thinking about this. I had thrown 5 of the mixed beans in the cup with the peroxide mix. Within three hours one bean cracked a tail and sank. One other bean sank to the bottom but didn't sprout a tail right away. I wonder if the bean that sprouted a tail so fast was the twin that sprouted. I've no idea..lol

Automatics Update
4 Devil Xxl coming along. I can see some damage but the new growth is coming along nicely. I try not to freak out to much when I see something. Just try to correct it and move on.

I've had a total of 4 Fastbuds seeds showing green. One seemed to come up and die. At least I got 4. They are in the early stages of seedlings. I had to remove a seed pod so one could unfold.

Houston, We have a Problem

Have you ever unzipped your tent and something just didn't look right? It happened to me today and I'm thankful it did. Ive been sailing along here with this grow but as things go I am seeing a issue rising and if I don't act now it will probably really wreck these plants.

See them sagging leaves. Not good. Especially when the lights came on hours ago. They aren't praying. More like pissed off..

What's the problem? Reservoir temperatures.
I've been ramping up the lamps a little and have noticed droopy girls not reaching for the light. I checked the res temp and it was 75.4. The roots don't look good at all. I thought maybe the silica I added had slightly changed the root color but after looking deeper I see and feel slime. I should be seeing Pearl white root. They are a healthy green above and appear healthy but her legs are damaged and unhappy. I don't have the money for a chiller so on to plan B.


So, with these being so early in life and heading for deaths door. I have taken a hopefully life saving step and pulled them from the netpots. Transplanted then all into a 5gal bucket per plant with Promix HP Myco.


I ran to home Depot and picked up what I needed. Bought 3 5gal buckets and drilled holes on bottom and underneath. 2" of clay pebbles line the bottom of the buckets. They sit in a large catch pan. Overflow can just sit there and wick back up as needed. Shouldn't have to water them for a while. I've also backed off some light intensity to give them some rest to repair and grow some good legs.

They've folded up a little bit that's expected. I've put them through a lot today.


Let's take a look at these uhhhh roots. More like a slimy mess. This didn't take long to develop. Just the other day they were acting normal. Reaching for the light. Today I noticed that was not happening. Something just wasn't right. I pooped up the lid and gooey, slimy, off colored roots greeted me. Ugh...I knew I'd been hugging the top end on res temps. Obviously I lost..lol. Look at this nasty mess.

What a fucking mess..

I'm sure they will recover. Cannabis is a pretty tough cookie. All I can do is sit black and see how they do. I've caught the problem. Now let's see how the solution works. Update soon.

I'm seeing new growth already. I'm pleased so far. The growth from underneath looks like it's ready to explode. Probably look like totally different plants soon.


A little tip burn. She's definitely letting me know she's had enough for now.

Automatics Update

Time to water the Devils tonight. They are coming along. I wish I would have put more medium in their pots. Kinda settled on me.
Oldest plant in this group is 21days, Other three are 17, and 15days.
Lite nutrients tonight TPS One, CalMag, silica, pH down to 5.6.
Nothing fancy or eventful but I bet I see flowers soon.


The 4 Mixed bag beans from Fastbuds are up and growing. They appear to be doing fine. It'll be nice to have these ready just a few weeks or so after the Devils. They have no needs at the moment. Pots are still a bit heavy.

Be interested to see how the cmg turns out for you on paper genetically its the same as dinachem from the now defunct dinafem and american stafford by kera seeds they proly all get it from the same spanish seed producers maybe cos there all meant to be stardawg guava cut x chem 91

Ive never grown it before. Just some seed I had a friend shared with me. Thought it may be good to start with. So far I'm liking what I see. All the fems are starting to come around now after I had the root issue in dwc. Everything I'm growing is from gifted seed I've kept. Some come up and some don't. CMG is one of three that won the seed race..lol.

If its anything like either of its parents it should be killer weed mate

These two Devil autos are bout to explode. Ive been moving, bending a little, n all that happy Lst stuff. Not much just a little.
I see the growth coming. Time to remove a few leaves. This is about as close to topping a plant as I get.
I remove plant matter as needed throughout the grow. Helps ventilation and exposes more budsites. With bending and clearing sites I usually get some bushy girls. Looks like these may be as hairy as a 1970s bikini bottom. I'm hoping for the best on this first auto run. Loving it so far.

Local Auction

So here in Ohio they have a open box type auction. All run online...OnLineAuction OLA. They get some nice grow equipment. I won a like new working..16" wallmount oscillating fan. Holy crap this thing moves air. Not bad for $16.
In October I won three tents..4x8 and two 4x2 all complete and great shape. All averages out to $81 a tent.
Many times I see tents, grow lights, fans, chillers, blowers...ect. I've seen some really nice LEDs on there. Many are this years models. Shzlux, bestva, vivosun, and more.
Lately there's a lot of folks in Ohio seeking to grow. Good place to pickup gear.

I'm keeping a positive attitude..lol. I see her kicking out shiny crystal on her leaf already in veg. I know that's not a indication of killer weed but it does give me encouragement..lol. Smells like a nice healthy green leaf. Can't wait till She's oozing with odors. She's repairing well from her ordeal. Won't be long she'll be under the screen with the others.

Feminized update

30days now
It appears they have recovered from the transplant from hydro to peat. Perky girls now. Won't be long and I can throw the screen in there.

Won a few more items from the ola auction. Mini greenhouse. Small compact and takes up little space. I'll use this for seedlings, clones, and possibly a small mama plant. Also won a set of 2' t5 strip grow lights and wires it up. My grow space is compact but functional so far.

The feminized girls have perked up a little more. I threw the screen in there just to get it out of the way. All set and ready to go. They should prob be in the screen in a few days. Growing fast now.

The Gigabud shows more tip burn than the others. I imagine that will grow out soon. They needed water last night so all they got was pH tap water. I'll feed them next time.

It's been a few days since I removed a few leaves blocking sites. Looks like these two are responding to what little training I'm doing.

Fems Update 5w old, 3w veg

Final decision..remove the screen.. .

I'm pretty patient but I'm in need of jars. Instead of half filling the screen I pulled it out. I'll use it when I get some clones going.

I'm figuring another week or more and then flip these. I'll start tying down and training her for a while. Keep them as low and spread out as possible. Other than that they are on schedule.

I know there's cheaper options out there but this works great for me, so I'm sticking with it

I pretty much follow this chart on the side of the jug. The amounts vary with different stages of veg and flower

I tried to follow the label but some are showing overfeeding. I had to back off a little bit now rolling into week 4 veg I am feeding as the chart suggests but still backed off slightly.
