The most sweet musk fuel stench you can imagine followed by a very smooth cough free inhale that lifts you up before laying you away.
I get different feedback from different people. From one describing it as "slooow ride" to another telling me I should just call it "Sledgehammer" - stating that they smoked it like they would most strains they have been getting only to be welcomed with the feeling of being hit in the face with a shovel a short time later lol

Want to see what a Hortilux Super HPS looks like running on a PROPER Ballast? Platinum ballast Burning Super HPS
DSC04769.JPG

Since This light combo has so much intensity and throwing photons like crazy I decided to capture some more of them with a wall mounted nft sytem just above my usual canopy

This load is coming down soon so here's a little update on what's happening.
The combo of flowering 4 weeks under the 420/pontoon and then finishing under the super hps is working very well.
Come on led guys, I'm only running a 1000 watter for 4 weeks per harvest - now thats efficiency

Lower buds are fully developed and no fluff with the super hps

My clone wall is blowing up as well

Anyone curious about that nft wall system that was capturing "Stray Light" above my regular plant canopy - It gave me 6oz of Sweet Black Angel and 5 oz of Lemon Kush. Not bad for free light eh?

Keeping with the Adventures - I didn't check my pre-flower box for a couple nights where I have a batch of Lemon Kush from seed rolling along only to find myself in panic mode - Stretchy mother fuckers like I have never seen before!

I know it's probably not the best idea but these things have to stay where they are for another 3 weeks so I did a super late emergency topping at 2 weeks into flower. It will be interesting to see how these finish out lol

Nice picture and gorgeous frosting ! Do you use the hortilux in combination with your Inda Gro ?

Yes, everything is inda-gro except my final flower box which I have been trying a couple different HID combinations. I would run 3 Inda-Gro 420's with a pontoon on the center unit but just haven't had the funds to drop on that much equipment at once.
The Hortilux Blue Metal Halide has one hell of a spectrum and I just had to try it in flower.

Look up venture lighting bros. If you want a good spectrum like the hortilux blue check them out. Write down pat number so a search for it them.

575 watt reported working on 600 digital ballast.

I can personally attest to the vertical 400 watt electronic ballast base up. Screenshot_20160113-192933.png

In the hunt for constant improvement I am currently running a 1000W Hortilux Blue Metal Halide in my flower box and I must say the quality is phenomenal!

I have been running the 1000 Blue stand alone start to finish and just love the results. It definitely blows HPS out of the water when it comes to potency. With little noticeable drop in yield. Definitely a winner in my book. Just sucks having to replace it every six months or so.

I had Hortilux on the phone and asked them about lamp life. I was told the MH Blue is 6 months recommended replacement at 24 hour on time. So 9-12 like an HPS lamp should still be within an acceptable output depreciation.
We will see, I too am liking what I am seeing with that lamp. Especially paired with the Hortilux Platinum ballast.

Another thing to note is that I have never noticed any shock or stall out moving from the Inda-Gro 420 to either HPS or the Blue Halide. I don't know why anyone doesn't have a IG420 in their veg room

Damn bro those flowers are looking awesome!

I don't want to hijack the thread but since we're analyzing hybrid lighting approaches I'll throw this in. I have also been pushing higher intensities in one one the flower rooms with a 1000 watt DE-HPS on a light running right between 4 of the 420/Pontoon combos. I'm supplementing CO2 to 1500 PPM and it's fed off an aquaponic decoupled system. These are day 14 of flower on a 50 day veg of Obama Kush, GSC and GG.

I would like to see the result of running the same strain back to back and replacing that DE with another 420/pontoon

Are you running coco fiber in the buckets?

Well, didn't win Powerball but I did manage to have multiple lighting technologies all come together in my thread with no arguments so I would say we are all winners lol  bongsmilie
