My Inda-gro Adventures

Ya, those are all things one needs to take into account when setting up an indoor garden. Another factor is yield per sq ft. Not just per watt.
It has become clear to me that efficiency on paper is not always the best situation when it meets reality.

Update:
About a week to go on the batch I have finishing out under the 1000W HPS. I have been having a heck of a time trying to get pics under a magnetic ballast and can't seem to time it right getting to it before the hps kicks on. Will for sure add some pics at harvest.

In my veg box which is not a pair of 100W Inda-Gro's rather than MH I am really liking it. I think even you LED boys would be hard pressed to DIY a light that will veg better than an Inda-Gro! The overall plant health and response to this spectrum is just amazing!

For comparison - this is a week and 3 days on these clones-

Here's a little update for this evening:
Inside my pre-flower box things are heating up for the party cup competition.
The cup will be fighting these Sweet Black Angels for space till they cycle out in a week or so

Then over to the experimental HPS box. All I can say is WOW!! I feel like I have backward evolved or something.
I can't wait to finish the Sweet Black Angels under the HPS as that is a strain I am very familiar with and will be able to do a more honest assessment of what is going on.
But these Lemon Kush and ICE have the larges nugs I have ever seen in my own garden!

For hps camera shots tape a polarized sunglass lens in front of your camera or phone to lose the bars.

Haven't had a chance to perfect photography under the hps and got busy when taking down the fist batch of plants to finish with the light change.
This is looking pretty promising!
Will update some weights once these ladies are dried up and final trimmed
This is 6 plants plus a couple flowered clones

Haven't done updates recently of the Inda-gro boxes so here we go:
New batch of cuts moved into the veg box hydro system. No matter how long or how bad ass of of grower we think we are becoming, we always gotta play around and test things.
Running a cut in coco against hydro to see which veg faster.
And there is one of those IG100's that I will put against any similarly powered led for veg

Then up to the preflower box:
This batch of 9 is about 3 weeks into flower and awaiting the move to the hps box.
Note the cup girl in there?
Anybody in the cup better watch out, I'm gunning for the top!!

During veg it is very fast, Stalky, healthy growth. Like nothing I have personally experienced even with Metal Halide.
For veg I would look at the 100W models personally. I'm using two in a 3x4 with beautiful results. 4 over a 4x4 would be turbo veg!
On the 420/pontoon, I would now honestly say 1 as a sole source for best quality will cover a 3x4. My total yields have seemed to be limited to the wattage. Same light bigger area, yield stayed the same.
The pontoon has it's own power cord. When plugged in (timer on) the 660's come on. When you unplug it, the 660's go off and a few seconds later the 730's come on for 5 minutes or so powered by a battery that is recharged during lights on. The pontoon is a trick piece of equipment. That is why I struggle to move away from them.
I think 2 of them in my 5x5 would do what I am looking for at 920W

I do think the pontoon led combo is putting plants into flower sooner/consistent. Look at my cup girl

Don't count on it, if there is one up for grabs it will be added to my collection ;)

As to the Heavenbright - even if they didn't cook themselves, my thoughts on the stupid slider design? :spew:
