if I had my own company I would do a thread about the light. Maybe give out a few panels for testing and documenting .... Answer any questions people ask... Then in the end let people make up their own mind..
and i would say things like:
we are testing the effectiveness of the proposed reevaluation

and use words like:
Industry standards and Nanometer

Advanced published test results comparing the XML 350 and Kind L600.

I wish more companies would do this sort of testing. Thinking in similar watt range, I'd like to see a test between the xml and solarstorm 400, Lumigrow pro 325, black dog 360-U, or spyder 600. I'm going to send in my request for any of these for their next test. Similar wattages and similar prices.

Wow, the thing that jumped out at me right away, the XML heats up to 98 degrees!
That's hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, HOT!

Oh i guess (hope) you are being sarcastic BK? 98 f is nothing
Yep.........BK, check Gg's thread to see what Apache's hottest point on the case was.....think around 91f

Guod is just toying with you about the conversion......those temps are "ok"for Chinese leds.

Being around 90 is okay in my book, but running around 100, is really pushing it.
That 10 degree shift can really make those diodes lose efficiency early if not properly cooled.
Example, the AC went out in my apartment when I wasn't there, I came home to temps over 100 in my grow tent. That was way back when I only had two LED lights, and those two were/are the first lights to show significant lose of efficiency. One occurred during my last grow, so I eliminated, and replaced the light. Now the other one is clearly showing it's age, too, so this grow will be its last rodeo.
Even with the 3w vs 5w diode difference taken into account, I was just really surprised at the 15 degree variance between the two.
