This proves my point. You cant flush my soil. It's impossible. How could you? Every time you add water you are feeding the plant. It's slow time releases dry nutes mixed in to everg square inch of my compost. Along with several layers of top dressing. Even without the nutes in there...I grow in compost...so it's like feeding it compost tea every time I water.
I mean old school growers swear to it and they flush their soil outdoors, I wouldn’t see why not flush plants in containers?

But when science came in and actually tested the plant tissue there was NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. So that is saying what I was saying earlier and it was PROVEN. flushing is only for the soil not the plant itself. So I will believe what is fact over what somebody just believes or thinks.
How come you never mentioned that they tested that test in coco...? Lol

taste difference test in coco after flushing...seems pointless to me because coco doesn’t hold amendments like organic soil does, coco is porous and it drains way more efficiently than soil, you can’t do that test with coco lol, do that test again with soil this time , then let’s check the results, from taste, smoothness, potency, flavors from terps, and checking the burnt remains after lighting it with a fire?

That’s like saying a 10 gallon pot with amendment will never run out of amendment and won’t need extra nutrients towards late vegetation and flowering, so no extra P and K just water.

Right on man...we get it. You believe in flushing. Now please drop it because you cant sell the idea of it to me or the rest of us who know better
Anyways I got stuff to do soooo
..good day sir.

Your calling a bunch of old school growers who grow trees as marijuana plants , wrong.
Yes, in this case I would call them wrong. Now wrong may not be the word to use. Scientifically do I think they are wrong, yes I do. If it makes them happy though than it is preference and in this case not wrong. There was a time when doctors gave electro shock to woman going through menopause, they are old school doctors, I don't trust them either. They would defend their position as they felt they were right even though now everyone knows they were wrong. Now I grow in coco so I don't flush because I don't over feed and I drain to runoff with each feeding but there are those who go crazy with nutes. Somehow they get it in their heads all it takes to grow great weed is just keep putting more nutes in but just like your car, when the tank is full and you just keep pumping you make a mess. These people need to clean their medium and that is where the flush comes in. As for the plant cannibalizing the leaves that is a clear sign it is being starved. I see no purpose in making the plant eat stored anything from it's leaves, I cut those off in the end anyway so it seems pointless. Now to each their own. People believe all sorts of things and I am not here to try to convince anyone of anything, I have my way and others have theirs. I can live with that.

To each their own, I guess everyone growing that dank dank is wrong lol. Can you explain the white ash black ash theory my friend?
I’d like to hear it. I’m all ears.

Lol I don’t need to “sell” the idea to you , to each their own, I’m just letting you know how I do it, and how most people do it.

White ash theory? Oh you mean that silly bit of folk lore that says if you don't flush you get black ash, popping and pot that just goes out. That is poor feeding, drying and curing practices. I don't flush my plants and my pot does not go out, make popping sounds and it does produce white ash. As I say to each their own. If you want to flush your plants than go for it, I just don't feel the science substantiates people's claims. I tend to follow science and not go by the theory that folks did it in the past so it must be the way. Ever wonder how their stuff would be if they did it another way? We will never know because most old time growers are set in their ways and their is no convincing them otherwise. Hey, as long as people are happy than life is good.

Flushing also enhances terpenes and potency for the plant a bit because it is starved for nutrients in the root zone so it takes it away from older leaves at the bottom, I know plenty of people who do it like this and it does seem to improve terpenes, thc production and more, IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME GO TO GANJA GURLS POST AND WATCH THESE LITTLE “RX GREEN” scientist philosophers, because plant roots tend to keep searching for nutes even though it’s end of flowering like I said in an earlier post, even go to YouTube sit down in your computer chair and study the video of them claiming that flushing doesn’t make a difference. They will make key points of what I said, but yet have no key points on what they are saying except for a test they did in Coco coir and perlite lol, hilarious! Best yet no video proof of people testing the smoke or anything, good proof!

Also you mind explaining to me how feeding the plant properly, drying and curing it will flush the excess I would looooooove to know.

Nothing flushes out mistakes of over feeding from your plants, you can only flush your medium. If you feed the plant properly there is no excess to get out. Drying properly breaks down the chlorophyll, not the nutes. Curing increases potency.
