I've seen those around, never used one (the AC) but from what I can tell from the video its pretty useless. Its like a fan that blows cold air, it doesnt remove any hot air from the room, it just blows cool air and blows the hot air out in the same room so it would just even out and not actually do any cooling other than what its blowing on.

So if you were to duct it into a tent, the room would get SOOO fucking hot you would need an extra real AC to cool the room.

Its funny because it advertises the AC part, but it could just as easily be used as a heater in the winter. Just duct it out a window and you have a 7000btu heater!

I do like them, I think they could be used for certain things, but I dont think it will be the best AC to cool an indoor grow IMO.

Most state laws require the landlord to give 24 hours notice.
Agreed... isn't this the reason for going with a STEALTH system. My friend, who smokes pot aswell, walked right past my setup and that is what he came to see, so go stealth and don't worry.

Ok, I fully understand where your coming from, and i really thought about that too when i watched the video....the reason i kinda got hung up on that particular one was because my tent will be in my 1 car garage...(no windows to duct/vent to!) but u r right, if i used that as an air intake for my tent the damm air outside the tent, (stagnat-air in garage) will be toasty as hell, espcially in the summer months approching!!! So i'm back to square one! Listen, BC, I see you know what the hell u r doing with your set-up, so I'll ask you for help and advice on this senario.....Considering the 1 tube portable A/C u mentioned a couple of posts back...would you think that would be much better for my set-up?? (7000btu or 9000btu?) And duct it to my attic in the garage,( i know this thread is for growing in apt! sorry "SCHWAGG" bongsmiliefor somewhat jacking, but i come here cause i wanna know about the apt thing also.. cause i will be getting one in the next 6 months) thus using A/C for passive air intake in the Homebox & to cool off garage at the same time??? or should I duct the cool air from the A/C unit directly to the homebox, some kind of way,(do u know anything i could use to do this, remember the area the air is coming from is a flat surface with no type of ducting flange??) for active air intake, via a y connector...other opening in y connector would be blowing cool air in garage @ the same time, thus enabeling the fan venting heat from the HPS light to suck in that cool air also...what do u think???:roll:

much cheaper than that one i was thinking about getting!! and no damm shipping cost!!!! thanks..:blsmoke:

I would use a single tube AC, 7000+ BTU but I wouldnt put it in the tent, just use it to cool the whole garage, and the homebox can pull air from the room its in. Its better to manage the environment for the whole garage then just the tents. I would duct the single tube AC heat out to wherever you can, and seal it up good. That way the AC will create a nice negative pressure in the garage and you can set up a passive intake.

ok. i have a female power skunk 2 weeks into flowwering and my apt complex is currently doing inspections... im thinking about moving the bed, so that it blocks the closet. the lights/fans will be off when they do the inspection. Do you think they look in the closet....or would they think its odd that the bed is infront of the closet? im going to make sure there is no smell. (no smoking indoors, filter and air fresheners.) And the whole place will be cleaned throughly. what else could i do to "hide" my garden?

when they came and inspected my apartment i followed her around at her heals... she simply looked in my kitchen and looked around the front room and hall way. She did not go into either of our bedrooms or even bathroom. She was just inspecting to make sure the place isnt dirty enough to attract roaches or something.

Most good landlords wont invade your privacy. If they dont smell it its not there as far as they are concerned.

they are doing the inspections on all 20 bldgs. in my complex. They are doing it to check for any damage before we move-out....which is August 1st. i dont think there will be a problem.

Yeah, but its way more of a kick in the junk when you chop down plants early just to realize you really didnt need to chop them down. :cuss:

and its a worse of a kick to have the police chop them down for you
....notice how I said chop them down "when" you didnt have to. Obviously getting busted would suck, but you gotta be damn near retarded to get caught, Or you have to run your mouth to retarded friends.
