germplasm ?

Oh,"they" 've already thought of that "problem" , too...
The solution to this "problem" is called Telomeres .
( TTTAGGG telomeres )

Cheers.
Very cool, thank you!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telomere
" .....In the early 1970s, Russian theorist Alexei Olovnikov first recognized that chromosomes could not completely replicate their ends. Building on this, and to accommodate Leonard Hayflick's idea of limited somatic cell division, Olovnikov suggested that DNA sequences are lost every time a cell/DNA replicates until the loss reaches a critical level, at which point cell division ends."

The "genome" is getting more value than the final product ...
They are getting close ,to what they wanted to achieve, firstplace with mj plant.
Now ,with full control over the plant genes ,they can slowly prepare a world-scale decriminalisation ...
Or put in other words ...
"Open new markets " ...
Simple.
Money talks ,BS walks ...

Just remember what I state today 19/02/2015 ...
In few decades ,it would be way difficult to find seeds .
All of us we will be obligated to buy seeds ,in order to grow ...

-Yes ,what about the wild landstrains ,then ?

They won't be any seed producing wild landstrains ,by then ....
Already a massive gene "pollution" has begun some years ago ...
You 're all aware of "organisations" like i.e. " greenhouse sseds " and their "strain hunters " ....
Are you really aware what exactly they are doing ,travelling all over the world ?
You do not need a biology degree ,to understand what's going on ,really ...

Cheers.
:peace:

That makes me a little sad inside

Only thing to look forward to is the possible slow rise in the amount of THC they can cram into a single nug haha.

Makes me want to hoard all my seeds away muahahaah :fire:

If it were only possible to get my hands on some bad-ass landrace strains of anykind :bigjoint:

Here in a part of Greece ,in an island called Crete ,"they" will find hard times ,
to make their plans become true ...

And just imagine ..
ISIS fanatics are just below Crete ,by now ...
And Cretans really got bored of shooting road signs, all these years ...

(During WW2 Germany had more than 16.000 (!!! ) soldier casualties ,in order to take over this island alone ...
There are mountain parts of this island ,in which simply ,you DO NOT visit during summer..
Grow sites there ,are guarded 24/24 ,7/7 ,by heavily armed ,black dressed men ...
And for some of them killing an intruder to the grow site ,is the same "sin" as killing a goat for meal ... )

Cheers.

I see this as a good thing, although your viewpoint isn't as explicit but rather informative. Those 'hunters' are speeding up or even making the impossible possible by mixing different strains with one another, further bettering the cannabis species in more ways than one.

It is still early where I live and waking up seems to be a daylong process for me, so if I misunderstood your words, please feel free to redirect my train of thought.

As a student taking a Natural Conservation class, I'm told that mix-breeding is typically a good thing for the offspring because it gets the best of both worlds, normally leading to a high chance probability of surviving. I'm sure there are exceptions here and there, as is throughout life.

This thread has officially been 'jacked (and for good reason  ).

Very interesting reading Sir SDS. Will the drug war on cannabis ever end or will it ever work?

Alright Pos. This is literally the third time I've completely reread your thread since it's creation. Dono why I don't do it to supes or gs but for as few of pages as this is there is a lot of good shit in here. Started late last night and just wrapped up. Anyways

Did you weigh out what you got off the 450w all white run? I know you were right at 400w with 8 cxas and 14 reds right? And came out at 448. You said something about running 3g pots instead of 5s and the defs you had- but should still be helpful.

Also I saw in this pic you DO have mounting screws with the reflectors on your 20 mm stars. Makes me feel better and will probably be ordering some today to tinker.

downloadfile-2.jpeg

I can't tell but in your carlco lense pictures later on it looks like your using those bjb mounts. Do we need to use those in order to use lenses OR relfectors? I'm leaning towards relfectors and am also curious about what you thought about the battle between lenses vs. Reflectors. What do you think did the best job delivering what you wanted.

When I saw this picture it basically summed up that I needed to try angling my supplemental nanometers, even if leaving my main white (ABs) wide

downloadfile-3.jpeg
That is Damn near the exact look of spectrum I'd like to see, maybe a bit more we but that should come with the 8ww/8cw/11red I have vs 2 ww/4cw/4red

Thank you again for playing around with spectrums and documenting everything.

Another thing does the ledil adapters for the relfectors mount onto the ideal holders? I copied the text

"Ledil Angelina wide with the ideal reflector adapter.

Ideal 50-2100n reflector adapter
Ledil F13402 Angelina wide
Ideal Chip lok 50-2234c led holder"

But have yet to start searching what these parts are.

Keep it up man and take care

I take back my question about bjb mounts of the Tina relfectors. You can see in the first pic your using the reflector straight on the star. Now I ask how did you mount them? Did you have holes just outside the emitter or is there a way to use them on stars that do not have these?

it looks like the bjb's are just for lenses? and in the ledil datasheet it looks like it instructs to use stars with the holes to mount... any way around this that would SECURELY mount them...

Bjb only fits certain carclo lenses. The tinas are mounted right on the star with 100% silicone. They will fit between solder pads if you cut the wire about a 1/8" and solder on the outer edge of star. Screws can get in the way also so they need to be setback a little letting the washer clamp down. Or just use a adhesive star pad. I also dremel a little material off the reflector so it sits totally flush and clears everything. A bit of work...none of my stars have holes for the clips. Seemed to be made for a custom pcb..

The bjb and carclo combo is considerably easier. Although with a little practice it isn't hard to get the reflectors siliconed on.

I literally just realized that wandering carlco's website lol. Thank you for the insight brother. Looks like xpe/xml2s rock the same Tina relfectors but the xpls only have the lenses that fit. Could you link the Silicon you're rocking to mount those? Little tubes like our pk3/arctic silver would be nice..

I've been cleaning up my solder points preparing for it but thank God I have a Dremel, by the end of it I'm sure I'll get Em to fit.

Did you ever record numbers from the all white run? I am wanting to pick your brain about what you thought you noticed between the almighty AW vs. WR battle. Keeping in mind you Had an additional 50w of more efficient light running all cxas vs with the reds.

Edit: locktite 5140 adhesive?

I didn't weigh the white run but if I remember right it would have been less than a g/w.

I wasn't as impressed with all white as white red. Smaller pots was a variable but not enough to completely sway the results I don't think. The only question left is how much and do they need to be reflected.

The results I'm getting now without them reflected are pretty nice. Not sure if the plants will still bulk the way they did when reflected yet..

A lot of the stretch I got looks like it was was from 12/12 and far red sunset. 13/11 and far red my plants are mostly stocky now.

My 2c...:peace:

I know I probably asked you this already, but I am going to ask again - what do you feed those girls?!

A lot depends on me getting the soil right. The dream and bubba are nice but not as vibrant. I noticed a little lack in vigor so i added langbeinite, mexican guano, blood meal, and just a little high phos bat guano. Soil is constantly reused so the results vary a little

Go biothrive is what i usually feed after that..send you a copy of the mix i usually use

Positivity!? Why aren't you updating this with those killer bodhi heaven mountain pics?? What panel are those under? I saw your party cup was under the NW+red?

Under my main light, the rainbow brite.... Party cup is under 2700k with supp 5k and 660nm

I actually cut everything the other day. My plant count was too high with the party cups and stuff so i made the call. Mostly everything was done at 55 days 13/11 with 730nm at lights out. The tangie and dream could have used another week or two. Even culled a few moms, just keeping the favorites. Heaven mountain bumped out my bubba... Sucks not being able to just grow what you want.

See if i can round up a few pics...
