huge difference between topping and defoliating. i have many strains now and many, many more i have tried over the years and i have yet to find one that i like topped better than letting it grow.
lmao ok big difference and you would know this from all your letting it grow experience lmao yeah .

actually, yes. i just had my 100th harvest(not plants, harvests) and in that time i have had many opportunities to try and test different things and hat is how i can pass on knowledge about what might or might not work. how about you? lmao yeah.

I think it's like most things in growing.. It has to be done in moderation and with common sense.. You can take the best nutrients, bud bloom boosters, etc. And if used in moderation with common sense they work great.. But use them the wrong way, or to excess and then you've got problems.. jmo

Those buds would obviously weigh one pound each if you hadn't of cut all the leaves off man. :P
Yea, shit sucks..bongsmilie I know that by the looks of the covered buds before trim and after i got a huge increase in size, density,of those lower buds.

All outdoor weed I've had looks good, sucks ass though. I am 2 hrs north of Green Bay Wisconsin so that makes sense. I like to grow my meds indoors and enjoy them outdoors.

I don't miss growing outdoors at all, indoors cuts out a lot of potential elements leading to failue.

Or I just like playing god...

You guys chop the leaves off your outdoor plants too?
animals eat and tear leaves off in nature deer exspecially nipple on them . does this mean the plant will die depends how much it was eating . most of the time they come right back full of more leaves then before its natural to lose some leafs through storms too. if these plants were as fragile as ppl seem to think they wouldn't exist its the tastiest plant in nature imo and apparently animals too .

https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/542308-main-lining-thread-177.html Check out the pics. Bonsai-type defoliation and he produces this time and time again like a machine.
He grows some awesome plants, not really "defoliating though". He also uses strains that are single cola dominant.

It's really not much different than lst'ing a plant, you can do the same thing, the only difference is is actual "mainline" theory. You can grow the same kind of colas with a lst and trimming, but I agree his are very nice and nicer than most lst's I've seen.

You're sure right, it's toppings and LST, but I guess I look at the rather rigorous trimming he does after week 2-3 of flower. It's a big pile of leaves and branches on the floor. Looks big to me because I'm a pussy when it comes to trimming.
