Better Grow - Super Silver Haze Round 2

I`ll naturally let Stone give you his screening method, but for my own I use PVC tubing 1/4 inch (usually a 10` piece will do ya), T fittings, elbows, twine and a few screws, very easy. I essentially make a cube with the PVC (depending on container size, but I like 24in x 24in (or 2 x 2 )). Then I drill holes in the top of the top box every 4in apart, insert the screws, and use the twine to make your over-under trellis . I like it because I can also tie-down to the PVC frame as well for more options later, and doesn`t require the joints to be cemented, thus coming apart very easily afterwards. Would be a great option for this run Caddy, sure Stone will chime in on his screen successes, if you haven`t already, you should check out his 250W Hempy thread! ATB

Caddy, your square bucket is the perfect setup for a screen made of small diameter (1/2in) pvc pipe and some T-connectors. Just aim for a canopy size that will fit within your lights footprint. Go for maybe 2'x3' or 3'x3' to make it easier. Set the screens about 8 inches above the bucket top, and just attach the pvc legs to the bucket with duct tape. I needed to save as much room as possible so I use some thin diameter metal rod and clothes hangars to shape my screens and attach them. Pics in my journal sig if your interested. You could also achieve good results with diligent LST. But it can be hard to pull a branch down further into stretch, and the screen doesnt give the plant a choice but to grow horizontal as long as you pull the tips down and move them over. Thanks bro. Im debating on picking up some CalMag and some sweet raw. Definitely sweet raw but you think I should try for the cal mag? I remember u said to use it if im using distilled water but i ono if my tap water is distilled lol. All i know is that shes 7.0 ph

May not need the CalMag boss, they`re looking good, your tap water must be good . You`d know by know if you`re were getting deficiencies, and we`ll help catch them if the y happen. The Sweet is a great investment. they could take it now right up until the final 3-5 day for me. Buy my L for about $27 CDN, give those babes loads of sugars. You can use right to the bottles specs, and doesn`t affect your pH all that much. Can`t wait to see the lass in few weeks

Hey! I read your first grow and mine is very similar to that. I am 10 days in and yours look better than mine after a week! Nice work. I almost grew Super Silver but went with Haze instead. Sativa is more my style than indica! I am hoping my first grow amounts to something! You learn fast cause these plants looked really nice from the start. If mine pull through I plan to LST them. Nice job man, I can't really offer any advice but I will sub this grow. If you got any advice for my seedlings its appreciated.

Thanks man! Since this is still my first strain I cant wait till i try other strains and see how they compare. I learn fast but its mainly to do with all the help I get from the forums. People like KC and Stone will always help newbies like us out and every grow i learn more and more. Its just like KC said, people can do as much research all they want but the best way to learn is to grab some seeds and start growing...and make mistakes man....we learn from them.

They are now 3 weeks into flower

collecting some pollen baby!



Quick question...if I pollinate a lower bud....how many seeds does that generally get? Only reason I ask is that if it only gets a few then I am probably looking to pollinate more than 1

Usually less from lower ones Caddy, so I usually do the lowest on each branch if I`m going that route. I usually seed my best mother entirely as I have clones for her replacement when I do. It`d be safe to seed 3-4 lower buds in a few weeks Caddy, would give you a nice little bean stash

Looking nice Caddy. Love watching a nice sativa like SSH flower. They are pretty than indicas IMO. Props on the seeding adventure, can't wait to see how this works out for you!

I recommend half-way through flower Caddy. My Cataracts would be in the ideal spot to seed right now as a reference. Too early and the budding pistils won`t accept the pollen, and you`ll get less favourable beans compared to waiting a bit. Remember that if going side-by-side, the male flowers and release pollen about 2-3 weeks before a female could accept and use that pollen, males just develop faster. Good job otherwise Caddy, doing great,
