Best way to clean pipes

I have heard of about a half a dozen ways to clean glass pipes, but I got this especially clogged Chameleon (cost $100), that I have to get my super gooey resin out of, (from my super gooey bud), and boiling in salt and vinegar just ain't doing it, Any ideas? ( no way to get behind bowl to scrape)

Iso alcohol

I use to use mentholated spirits and salt, Soak and shake and would get it spotless but then youd need to keep flushing it with water afterwards other wise youd get a slight taste of the salt.
Last few times Iv used only hot water and its worked just as good.
Leave it under the hot tap for 15mins while the water pores down the bowl hole.
Needs a clean out today if you wanted a video to show you.

91% Iso Alcohol... Let it soak overnight...

The best and easiest way I've found to clean your glass is undiluted citrus degreaser. $10 a gallon at home depot. Just fill up your bong with it overnight, pour it back into the container (you can reuse it forever), and rinse your piece with hot water. Your glass will look brand new, and the citrus smell is pleasant...

I like to chew a bar of chocolate laxative. Wash down with a pot of coffee. Then sniff a fat line of coca as you sit on the toilet.



If that don't work Your gonna wanna see a doc

Aerosol oven cleaner ... the yellow label kind with real alkali

Soak it in alcohol

+1 for iso

×3 for plumbers...get a mario party up in here

Alcohol is good. Degreaser is good. Alkali is excellent. Combine alkali with degreaser or (bertter) "floor stripper" (butoxyethanol/ethanolamine) which is also the blue "less fumes" oven cleaner. I use a shpritz of yellow and a shpritz of blue.
Some degreasers are alkali-reactive. Not super toxic but a bit ... entertaining.

Every week I immerse my pipe in a large jar containing enough alcohol to cover the dirty areas (throw in some rock salt). Then put the hose from a fish pump into the jar - the bubbles actually scrub the glass. Leave it like that overnight, guarantee it will clean your glass.

Are these methods just to clean your equipment or to save the sticky resin? I'm interested in how to save the resin. Any other way than scraping?

Acetone if you can get clean stuff.
There'll be a residue that will come off with the stronger cleaners.
Let the acetone evaporate off uncovered for at least a week.
I use hexanes for this maneuver but they are sometimes hard to find. There's a hardware store source but ... you gotta distill out the bit of motor-type oil ... takes equipment

Soak in 99Iso.
If you have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner use it..
Soak overnight.

Pour iso in a Pyrex.
Light on fire.

Scrape
Smoke
Report back

I'd omit the "light on fire" step; too many combustion tars could ruin the flavor ...

... wait. Of tar. Nevermind

If you weren't trying to smoke the resin.
I've found metholated spirits and rock salt will clean your glass really well. The salt acts as a scrubber. And the metho loosens/dissolves the rest.

Trouble is. It stinks. And you've really got to give a good rinse out. Otherwise it'll ruin the taste of the next 6-7 cones.

I use this as a last resort if I can't find some orange peels to pulp up.

Put ISO in the microwave for a couple seconds till hot, done and done
