perfect. you'll want a box fan or oscillator, movin air across your canopy w the 600. the higher you raise your light, the wider the light footprint will be. get your next generation underway if you want to start stackin medicinals lol

your jacks shld be fine. i like lifting each entire container to get the best sense re the water content. it's good practice

I have seeds i ordered from herbies (lemon kush and the doctor) that i wanted to get going next but i was thinking i need to wait a couple weeks to start sprouting them. these are day 28 of veg. how long do you think I will need to veg. i can only get about 3ft worth of space to leave them 18" from the light. I do have a little 2x2 area that i plan on starting the new plants in some small pots until about day 21-28 or so. i expect 10 weeks or so to flwer

They don't look hungry at all to me. I wouldn't fertilize them.
You should flower your plants when they cover 80% your horizontal area so 20% direct light reach the floor. You could easily train your plants later to catch that light. I'd guesstimate at 2-3 weeks from now.

looks nice! got any extra panda film for that back wall? it'll help.

and yes, the new growth will look completely normal as long as you correct the heat stress or whatever else might have caused your issue.

so my room got a little hot again today. my high said 84 was 81 when i got home from work. I have it at 77 on the canopy now, I brought another fan in and hooked up the bathroom vent fan to pull air out. seems to be working okay. I also turned down the light to 75% (450w) I gotta wait a couple weeks for the fan and filter. Ive went over budget a little bit, lol.
on a positive note, all the plants seem to look decently healthy and cooling the 600w far from the plants seems to be about the same as the CFLs :)

Day 32
I had to get a little creative to keep the light cooler. I stacked a few things to get a fan going through the light and have the fans point it to the exhaust. It got my temps to 73, which is the lowest its been in a few weeks. I also did a little LST to a few plants and topped the last one. I hope they will fill out some more. Ive gone to 18/6 lights, im hoping it helps the heat stress correct itself.
heres a few pics

So i just ordered a 6" 470cfm inline fan with speed controller and a 16x6 carbon filter. I officially dont think i can make this first grow pay for itself but maybe, lol. :???:
also ordered some PH down/up. I have a soil/light/moisture tester (you can see in a picture above) is this thing reliable. if so all my soil is around 8 ph. Is that bad and how can i fix the soil, if it is bad?

I don't touch the pH in soil, but I heard BlueLab got a nice meter for that.
Soil is not homogeneous pH wise, one place will give a difference result from the other. I don't see a reason to test for it.
Maybe in very small pots or heavily fertilized soil grows.

I wont worry about the soil then. I think i will be getting a PPM meter though. any recommendations?
