Ya, they were originally just called medicinal organic...makers of Platinum cookies, blueberry diesel, purple diesel, granddaddy blueberry, grand fire, grandpa larry, boysenberry, and some others.
The guy is really nice...and his screen name on here used to me medicinman I believe.
His platinum cookies is killer...and I don't care for most cookies. But this blue frost has me excited.

yep. keep in mind soma back crosses. he doesn't just pollen chuck like sub. so there is fewer phenos. 2 or 3 at most. we grew 10 seeds. 4 were male. only 1 turned purple. after letting it go 10 days longer than normal. it did produce nice colas.

I would love to be able to smell those colas... looks great on both sides but those thrichs on the led side are shiny like diamonds... when i started two years ago with leds everybody laughed and said it couldnt be done....

Hey GG That last vid is looking very promising, even if hps is slightly bigger! Not to highjack your thread but with some help in my mystery strain dilemma, we may have a winner with somas lavender! These pics look to similar to NOT be it. At least have a pheno of it maybe. First pic "the mystery" / second pic Lavender from a pic i found in google images

The pic of mystery is pretty close up, but the structure of the plant is extremely close to that in the second pic

they both look the same to me as far as trich go,pics/film under hps sucks any way,if trying to show something.

The Blue og I just finished is nice, not exactly fire but its pretty nice.

All i grow led/hps mixed i can say is hello. Hps rocks/led rocks join them and hello. this man is doing a great service to us all. so i bow and say thank you brother. All i will say this the yield will match easy. those led's rock. I use Chinese and i can say is u get what you pay. chinese are cheaper. what did i say cheaper. if you can only afford Chinese do it. mix with hps.I had to fire move. caused 2 plants to go finish on me. well 4 weeks early. Excellent smoke better than anything around. But i dont want B buds. I grow A buds. I know a man who knows his shit. GG knows his shit. I Iove how his is doing this. So please have respect. Let this man show us. I got a funny feeling ill be buying this light.

What's up man. Been wondering if you have been around. It's the blue light they contain. UV-b is what everyone thinks about(and is true)...but good blue light is just as effective imo at bringing out and maximizing trichs/resin/oils/terps.

Jbone isn't saying anything bad. If anything the most positive he has been. It's the price he doesn't like. But I am not here to show that...just that good led's perform. Some one else will have to show what cheap ones do head to head. But sounds like you got them working for you nicely. As long as it works for someone is all that matters in the end.

How you know a grower can read their plants, I still use it as a guide when I use new products but a loose guide and more just feed them when they need it.

I never have actually burned any plants in my life other than the MOAB trial on the ace. Those got fried...but that is the only time I have fried/burned anything...even tips. So that is what I think they could take more if I gave it to them and maybe bump the yields.

But with this batch of soil I should deb back to my old ways and loving life...water and tea only!

Lol sorry i came across wrong way. im not doing a comp or side by side. I use led to add spectrum to the hps which means better buds. i think i high will read later. ty again

Yeah, been watching, just been busy processin my last batch, Blue og, is good but not great, ultra sour is pretty spectacular for my taste, makin coconut oil in the morn with trim. Everybody thinks I hate leds but thats not the case, what I have been saying all along is that watt for watt led is better, but led will not match hid at the 40% power savings that everyone talks about. I have seen this test done, led will be way frostier and will yield just over 15% less, the 15% more that the hid yields negates the power savings and doesnt justify the cost of the led imo. If I were in Cali I would be a led guy. Im going to throw 6 of those cree 3070s on my 600 hoods next run. I think that will be the ticket. Hell, thought about making a aluminum cover for one of my magnums that holds 16 3070s and heatsinks, the exhaust fan would pull air directly over the fins so It would be plenty cool, I dunno what im gonna do, got a month to figure it out.
