A51 W90s grow

::::::bud shots in this post are not w90s grown, they were grown mostly under a51 AF600s and other lights::::::

littlejacob, I can guarantee you the lights were not too far. I have actually backed them up a bit, its been a day or 2 and plants are already responding well. When I first placed the plants under the A51s the plants started looking like they were getting too much light.

I think the canopy will fill in nicely, a couple things worth noting is that the plants were not the healthiest plants to start with, I think most of them are in a new mix of soil and I might have over done it with amendments. Needless to say they all look a bit healthier since I have backed up the lights a bit but it might not have anything to do with it. One of the pots felt like some of the compost was still heating up...

Anyway I am not too worried I am just gonna do ma thing, if things are not working out I will move all plants to the other budding room and start over.

Notice the burned tips, not something I see very often, thats why I think I overdid with amendments... also you can see one employee working as well, I am starting to find some dead ladybugs that seems to have died in the lights (maybe?!) but the lamps still look at good as new, I was worried because ladybugs like to fly into the lights and the A51s w90s dont have lens nor glasses to protect them... anyway all is good so far!

night shot of the girls on day 2,3 or 4... will get the timer hooked up tomorrow so far just turning the lights on and off manually.

Long story short, 3 of those CBCs are under the w90s.

Long story:
CBC, Canadian Blue Cannabis I called my strain hehe... Its ((chemo x respect) X Ancient OG)) Respect was my keeper from reggae seeds years ago, I eventually got bored with it but every time I trimmed the girl I just couldnt get rid of her, so resinous!! such a unique smell too, so anyway, respect is no longer now (grew it for the last time outdoor) but at least I did have seeds at the time, Chemo X Respect AKA Crisco. Anyway, the Ancient OG female I pollinated didnt look that special but it was also fairly neglected. One day I decided to pop some beans and the winner was this cut, my one go to strain at this point.

unfortunately, the plant pictured as well as 3 others are not quite done but due to spidermites issue, Im gonna chop em tonight and tomorrow, I am so looking forward to grow this strain again, one of the most resinous strain I have ever grown, and the best part is, smells just like blueberries in the jar.

Cheers!
Sorry to hear about the mite situation, good luck to you in your efforts to get it under control, insecticidal soaps help a lot so I would recommend that, anyways happy tokin!

I've been running a perpetual garden for some years now and never had to start over again. Because there is always a plant or 2 that are about to be harvested I don't ever spray anything. I am debating whether or not I should spend more money on beneficial insects now or wait it out. Insects are my biggest expense besides electricity...

Last week I introduced persimillis and fallacis, the problem is I don't know if the ladybugs are feeding on them as well...

Anyway I am not seeing a whole lot of mites anymore and no webbing...

The test grow with the w90s seems to be in the clear... Only a month left and I'm not seeing any mites.

Guardian Mite Eliminator is an awesome product that is all natural and safe to use. Kills mites on contact and smothers their eggs to keep from hatching. And you could drink the stuff.
Cinnamon oil, lemon grass oil, and citric acid are the "active" ingredients. Good luck with your grow. :joint:

Insects can help but they will not fully kill off all their food supply (in this case it could be mites) the only way to get rid of them is to use a pesticide.

I have used persimillis often enough, the problem with them and most other beneficial is that they require higher humidity, since I exhaust in the house, I cant let the humidity get up too high. I am gonna try the mesoseiulus longipes, they do better in a 40% RH environment. Everything is looking good though.

I cant wait for the next round under the w90s, in my opinion they have already proven to perform quite well, I raised the lights one more time today. Looking at the picture on my post on Nov 2nd and looking at what they look like now, they have been growing amazingly well!!! I ll post some pics tomorrow or soon.

Azamax doesnt fit in with what I am trying to do. I want to get to a point where I order beneficial bugs about once a month for around $200 and always stay in the clear of any infestations. I am not scared of bugs or pests. I did try to order a triple threat with stethorus ladybugs but they were out of stethorus so I ended up getting only 2 predatory mites. I think at a certain point I will only have to buy 500-2000 ladybugs every month as preventative, ladybugs dont work that great for infestations but do work well as a preventative I think. I know it seems like a lot of money but I get to learn about bugs and how to they interact with each other, cool shit!!!

With this budget you should try to start to make your own ladybugs production!
It will be cheaper for you I guess!

Man that is a lot of money to spend each month on prevention, good luck with your method!

You mean some people capture it outdoor?
I thought it was raised in captivity...like an insect farm or something similar!
I known the one I can get in FR are raised in a farm they sell lb larvae too!
That's why I asked!

I just find a kit for children on a site in few seconds...33 $...for 80 ladybug larvae (2 kind)...
I saw that it is easy to raise
But so many die...make me sad!

I doubt the ones you can get in France are raised indoor, what makes you think that? They harvest the eggs from the wild and probably hatch them indoor before selling them as larvaes or ladybugs.

The kit for children is to watch them hatch and go from larvae to ladybug stage. Ladybugs have a lifespan of 2-3 years in the wild. So kids can have fun keeping them alive but they won't lay eggs.
