I agree. Those pc stealth boxes are mad expensive. LST grows are perfect for small spaces, I've seen people pull well over an ounce off a less than 2 ft plant.

I have a tent that is the same size, and I'm using a 600w HPS w/ an MH conversion bulb. I haven't started the grow yet, but I would go with a 600. It should we worth the extra money. Are you going with soil or hydro?

4 - 6 plants in a pc grow case!?!? I wouldn't even consider more than 2. As far as the light goes, I would go with a 175w hps/mh. 250w MAX. Those things are designed for CFL grows. You better have some killer exhaust.

yeah I would just use a reduced amount of nutes. How many plants you puttin under that 400?

I have a 600w hps set up with an air cooled hood, just bought a 600w MH conversion bulb that i'll use from seed to flower. Should get the job done.

I would definately prefer to go hydro, I just figured soil would be easier for a 1st grow. I think I would have to order fox farm soil online, don't know anyone in my area that carries it. Everything has come in, I'll set up the tent and hang the light over the weekend and I'll post some pics...

thanks dude. I have a really informative book that i've been skimming thru, but I'm not the bookworm type. I'll play it by ear, when I can, i'll pick up a carbon filter exhaust system and CO2 setup.

Looking to start a soil grow. My first grow. Brand new set up. 600w HPS, 4x4 Tent, strain is RockLock from DNA. 5 plants max. Just getting everything set up now, any recommendations on what soil to use? Nutes? How much / often to water? Light cycle? Thermostats / fans / timers? Any other tips...

I read somewhere that these lights that combine MH bulbs and HPS bulbs are supposed to be the best on the market.. Any truth to this? Is it a good deal if you can find one that uses a 400W HPS and a 400W MH in decent shape for 200?
