Your going to do 1 1000 in a 12x12 room for 8 plants?

If your trying to get a qp+ per plant, you need to veg longer and have bigger plants

Also your going to need more light to get a qp+ per plant. I usually put 3-4 of my big girls under 1 1000 for them alone. and I've yeilded 6-8 oz per plant, just with a some more veg time.

You can pull wayyyyy more than 2lbs in a 12x12 room. Question is are you willing to step up another notch?

Just like if you put a clone into flowering in a SOG method, you might get 2+ ounces per plant if your lucky. but one 1000 will cover more plants when they are smaller. Bigger plants need more light!

more light. i would do at least 5 or 6 1k's in that room. 3-5 plants per light.
Biggest waste of wattage and time.
You could fit 50 under that one light on a horizantle garden. I do 75 for 1 1ker verticaly. I get 2-3 pounds of bud off one light. in 8 weeks min 9 weeks max. PK
You have to get a good strain to yeild a 1/4 off each plant. And you have to have the know how of growing. You shouldnt expect more. Always low ball. If you do 5 a light its going to take an extra 4 or 5 weeks of veg time. WHY tho? Do it sog for best results and time frame. WOuldnt you rather have 6 crops a year compared to 4.5?
Run three roooms and you can get a crop every month. 4 weeks in each room or tent.
Example 4 weeks in veg time with floros or 1 400 watt MH. 4 weeks in first room with a 600watt MH. Then the last 4 weeks in finish room with a 1000hps light with a RH relativehumidity of 50. The hotter it gets the less relative humidity. Low humidity is good for flowering.
So Putt those plants under the light and start you cycles by taking clones off the vegging plants that are two weeks old. Your gonna wanna veg for 4 weeks. Take cuttings in the middle of veg. One or two off each. Take the lower branches that dont get as much light and they are the ones that root easier.
Take those cuttings and clone them for 10 days or more. Take more cuttings about 16 of them instead of 8 and move those under a 400 watt or hps for two weeks. And flowering them. So you will have a crop two weeks after your first one. you will be happy you did. Move the second ones under the 1000 for the last two weeks to increase yield. And the clones you took off the 16 will be rooted. Get some floros for veg.
If your going to grow do it right. Its all about time and space. SOG works for me best.

I agree with what your saying smiley. But it seems he only wanted to do 8 plants. Not 75. Theres a BIG difference in the law in some states when your talking about 8 vs. 75. Shit, he could SOG his 12x12 room and put 144 plants in there at 1 plant per sq foot in 2 gallon pots. But thats alot of plants to be having if you really only are trying to grow 8 or so.

I agree with perpetual too. Thats what I do. I have 6 1'ks in a 10x14 room and 1 1k mh in my veg/mother room. and a 250/500 watt t-5 for clones. I have my vegging plants set up to go into perpetual so there in no waiting on plants to veg to get into the flowering room.

I live in a medical state and am only allowed so many plants. SOG works great yes, but so many plants. I'd rather just grow my plants bigger, have less of them and stay within the law, and still get 2-3 lbs per light.

The strains I use is are 50 day strains and are enormous yeilders. So I get 7 full harvests a year.

A QP per plant is certainly reasonable, but you're going to need big healthy plants to do it. My next grow is going to be 8 plants grown aeroponically in a 4'x2'x5' space. My goal is one pound, which I feel is pretty attainable, but I'm hoping for quite a bit more. Growing AK-47 and Super Lemon Haze. Built a brand new 100% leakproof aero system for it too (water never leaves the reservoir, but the roots also don't sit in the nutes), the last one had some issues that resulted in me accidentally flooding the downstairs apartment when it fucked up. That was a tense day.

:shock:this makes me wonder what ill yield with my (2) 7 gallons gdp's vegged for 10 weeks under a 400 watt mh then flowered under a 600 watt hps in a 4x4x6.

Similar to the set up I am getting ready to deploy. I'm hoping to see 2.5 - 3 oz per plant. Still undecided between rigging up a hydro set up or going with soil...

ya yield is strain, grower, size. and nutes of course help but yield can vary. you can two growers can grow the same with all the variables the same, other than grower skill level. usually 9 times out of 10 the better grower will yield more per plant.

You can do 1/4 in 3 gal pots and 600 watts. But it takes a little practice. Probaly wont happen in your first 3 or 4 grows. Or everyone even after years of experience. Many, many factors involved.
