what ever you do, dont use a black nursery pot. If you must, put a larger one around it so that the sun doesn't raise the temp of the roots to like 104 degrees and kill everything. ive seen it happen. Not pretty.

just fine a huge, dense thicket and carve out a small space for them. dont make the space too big, just start small and you can always make it bigger to fit the plants.

you know, that description sounds alot like my plant. It isn't dark green like my afghan, its lighter, and is definitely not pure sativa. (leaves are too fat) By the way, it showed a female preflower today! who knows, I might have some old colombia gold!

It all depends on your lighting, but my afghan was about 7 nodes tall, and had substantial branches at 1 month. grown in soil under fluoros.
