The #1 reason people get busted is because they told someone who shouldn't have been told..

keep it hush hush and out of sight..

what is a good size gal pot for autos

jeeeezuss man you only been told 30 times, grow em in 5 gallon pots just to make sure you got enough space. i seen em grown in big gulp cups to full potential. so go 5 gallon and be happy, and i grow 6 footers along the edge of the field besid my house. and the cops fly over it every year and don't see them

just fine a huge, dense thicket and carve out a small space for them. dont make the space too big, just start small and you can always make it bigger to fit the plants.

i haven't tried this, but it's got promise
there is a plant called cleome, it's a MJ look alike right up into july
even smells like weed
by mid july, begins to flower, but having that mixed in your patch ought to be fairly stealthy
and it has sharp spines, another deterrent to detection

id b more worried about deer or other animals eating it than a heli flyn over an seein them... pissin around your plants and spreading human scent helpskeep em away they say... but as long as youre not growin 20-30 plants and you keep ur mouth shut you wont regret it.... happy growin!!!

i've been known to piss in a 2-liter and carry it in the woods with me to spread around... i can't say it didn't work... but nothing ever got eaten

so a plant that looks like marijuana right next to real marijuana is gonna hide the marijuana?

good point, it depends on how you use it
idea is a few real plants well mixed in
anyone comes up to it and decide it's a real patch should get a wake up call after getting a hand full of spines
it looks like MJ to a point
and during the bud season, it throws up a spike of flowers, i would think it would be fairly hard to spot a 'flowerless' MJ in among a large number of flowering cleome
may not work, i think you'd have to give it a try and see how well it blends some MJ plants
i have seen it mentioned from time to time for this purpose

I think a 5 gal. bucket is over kill on the auto strain. I have grown prolly over 300 of them and never went over a 3gal square pot.
I have really good luck with 8" round pots. I use these strictly for indoor, so I can water them more.
Not trying to step on any toes. But You will not see any difference between a 5gal. and a 3gal on the autoflowers. EXCEPT WASTING SOIL.
The trick with auto's is to get them transplanted as fast as possible. I pop them in a tray, when I get the second set of leaves they go into the 3gal pots.
You will have to fine tune the nute and lighting regimine to perfect your harvest. That is strain specific though.
Don't give up. I love these plants. F'in amazing.

bunch them up...spread them up gives u a bigger chance of getting caught

if somebody finds one small patch you only lose one small patch... if they find your only large patch you lose everything

if the animals/bugs find a patch they are coming back for dinner until it's gone... spreading them out gives you a better chance of success EVEN if you lose something for any reason
