    Simple Question

Maybe you could just take a dump on your plants, kinda like you do to people.

At different stages of the plants life cycle it needs different nutes. If you want to maximize your plants potential you need different nutes for different stages.

    indoor lighting....

One thing I did leave out is that most of the strains that I get high yields from are strains that I have worked with for years. I KNOW these strains and what makes them happy. I rarely have great yields the first time I work with a new strain. Truly KNOWING your strain is one important aspect...

    Article: Soil vs. Hydroponics

Which ever grow method works best for each individual gardener is the best grow method. Me personally. I LIKE playing in dirt. Have since I was like 2 years old.

    indoor lighting....

I am doing nothing special. No advanced pruning or anything like that. I may top depending on the strain and I always "lollipop" my plants. Only the first 5 to 6 inches up the stalk though. I use quality soil, lights, nutes, etc and I tend to them 3-4 hours a day. I am semi-retired (yeah you...

    indoor lighting....

How low? My primary flowering area is 8' by 6' and my lights are suspended 5 feet above the floor of that area. That is a 1000w dead in the middle and the 2 400s on each end of the 8 foot length. And my yield per plant is no different here in my primary flowering room than they are in my 400w...

20 years of trial and error I guess. That and I aint cheap, I dont cut corners and I dont over complicate things. Or maybe these folks are not as dialed in as they seem. I really dont know.

    benefits of cloneing

With a clone you know what the gender is going to be before you ever take the clone. With common seeds you waste a lot of time and money determining the gender. Speaking of time..... It only takes 3 weeks rooting/veg time (one week in rapid rooter cloner and 2 weeks vegging under a 400w MH)...

    A/c question

Every situation is different. I personally dont have an AC unit or air cooled fixtures/reflectors in my primary garden (8' x 6' area with 3 lamps. 1000w and 2 400w) and my room stays between 70 and 78 degrees 24/7. A little trial and error is the only way you are going to find out what works...

    indoor lighting....

That whole gram per watt thing is one of the biggest loads of crap I have ever heard of. Where did this come from? Hydro shop owners/employees or equipment manufacturers would be my guess. It sure didnt come from experienced growers. I have been growing for roughly 20 years and routinely pull 3...

    Which Microscope for trichomes?

The Radio Shack scope works great for cutting a bud off a plant and then going and sitting down at a table and looking at the trichomes. For looking at the trichomes without cutting it off the plant a 30x jewelers loupe works great, primarily due to its MUCH smaller size and ability to focus in...

    600w vs 1000W

600 or 1000..... There is not a one size fits all answer here. It really depends on each individual set up (grow room). Examples: If you are growing in a confined space (closet, cabinet, fridge, etc) where height, heat, etc, etc are an issue then a 600 would be a better choice and give you...

    Clones and Light

18/6 or 24/0.... If all you are doing is cloning/vegging for 1 to 4 weeks then it really does not matter which you use. Both methods work just fine for short veg cycles. If you are cloning/vegging longer than 4 weeks then you want to go 18/6. Once a seedling or clone gets around a month old...
