mhhhhhh???ok man-first of all you have no risk that you may not have a plant(seed may not crack, or seedlings are weak), then when cloning usually you know that your plant is female and no risk of getting a male(4 seeds it 50-50%?), usually all of the clones will survive.so thats the basic advantages, but there are a little more.
keep up the good work....

What are the benefits of starting with a clone and not a seed?
With a clone you know what the gender is going to be before you ever take the clone. With common seeds you waste a lot of time and money determining the gender.

Speaking of time..... It only takes 3 weeks rooting/veg time (one week in rapid rooter cloner and 2 weeks vegging under a 400w MH) to have nice compact 15" to 18" tall clones ready to move into flowering. With seed it would take several weeks longer to do that.

You save money cloning. If you are using soil you are not wasting money on soil and nutes and pots, etc, etc, just for the seed to turn out to be a male. And my soil (Ocean Forest from Fox Farm) costs me $22 a bag.

Those are the three primary benefits to cloning in my opinion.

Benefits of cloning are,
1. Potential benefits to modern medicine,
2. Helping infertile couples,
3. Reverse the aging process,
4. Protecting endangered species,
5. Improving food supply.
